NIXON ANNOUNCES END TO WAR IN VIETNAM, 1/23/73

It's sad to think that all of our troops would finally be able to return home to their families only to be met with hate and disgust. I wasn't alive during this time, but if I was, I know I would be against the war. I know I would be a part of the peace movement. And I also know that I would have welcomed our troops home with love and compassion. It's a shame that so many were lost.

Why are there no videos posted of this speech? The speech in which Nixon proclaims that we have concluded in agreement to end the war in Vietnam. It's one of the most important speeches of the twentieth century.

So THAT's where that term, "Peace with Honor" came from.

I wouldn't know, I was in Kindergarten when all that was going on.  I DO, however, remember watching Nixon's resignation. Something in the back of my mind told me to remember it due to its uniqueness.
