If I had a pet I would never allow the humane society/spca to take custody of it, nor would I ever give my pet any flu type shots also I wouldn't be buying the canned/dry pet food sold in the major pet stores because those foods are also poisoned much in the same way humans are poisoned... they all have aluminum, fluoride, zinc, mercury, etc in them!

Owner has the right to put down a dog, any 'treatment' could just cause a dog that old to suffer longer unnecessarily. We put dogs down for attacking people, yet no one complains about that. Its all fine and good until YOU get hurt. Then that dog must die! (sarcasm) And a dog 18 years old!? That dog was not an abused dog. A dog wouldn't live that long if he were abused. No way.
