Good times on Halo live with Halo 2... good times. I dont know why, but when I made the swatch from halo 2 to halo 3... no one AT ALL played custom games on Halo 3 (Maybe it was just me) but on Halo 2 that was basically what we would do for hours like the 7 day war shit and stuff. Marty O'donnel openly said that Halo 2 had an ending that had many players chucking their controllers through their TV's. The ending was bad. Its undeniable.

Bungie openly acknowledged the lack of planning, and the horrible cliff hanger.

The story of Halo 2 doesn't end, it just STOPPED.

Also, the only thing the Arbiter did for the story was take the antagonists of Halo 1 into lame dinosaur medieval knights. The Marines' dialogue is always meant to be funny, and all of this takes away all the seriousness built up through H1 and the book that preceded it.

When Halo 2 lost seriousness, it became lame.

Lastly, the lameness is extremely evident in the Gauss hog run through in Halo 2, compared to the Halo 2 E3 trailer.

The Trailer was awesome, serious, gritty, and created the sense of atmosphere of Earth being invaded.

Halo 2, the warthog battle was reduced to seconds of gameplay, the new talking aliens made everything funny, and by the end you totally forgot about Earth.

The Elites talk like medieval knights.

The overall gotty bump mapping.

The lack of planning.

1. Master Chief's holding the grenade in the wrong hand.

&

2. Plasma Grenades only makes that high-pitched humming sound after it lands & the fuse starts, so basically, Master Chief just stuck his own grenade to his hand.

So I guess he stuck it after all.
