@roryscott1976 Hello again Rory. Probably doing another vid later next week so check back then it should be pretty special as he is way better than this now. He has played a few 2 star tournaments recently and had some pretty impressive results. He won a U11 tournament and was runner up in a U13 tournament which included a win in the semis over one of the top 8 U11's in the country.
@ttplayerb The video only shows Fred playing one type of game, but I do play him with pimples and a hardbat from time to time and he can loop pretty well on both sides now against backspin. He can loop maybe 15-20 times in a row against the hardbat though he finds Long Pimples more difficult to play against at the moment.
What are your plans for him? If you want to see him become a table tennis professional you may need to look into him moving to Europe or an Asian country in years to come. Otherwise you risk stunting his growth imo
@Merrlol He will decide what he wants to do when he is a little older. Moving abroad is probably out of the question though as he has a sister and another sibling on the way in February. In the future there may be the option to train abroad for extended periods though.
Very solid forehand and backhand drives. Good shot placement, can't see his footwork but it looks like he has no problems getting to the ball. When do we get to start seeing him play a loop?
@gimplar He did a few loops (against backspin) on his last vid I think, but he doesn't do that much looping back from the table yet as his size makes it very difficult to be competitive in that area so he can't afford to drift too far from the table just yet. As he gets stronger and faster and starts to hit the ball harder then it is something that he will do more of. He can already hit the ball with lots of spin though, so I think he will eventually be very good away from the table.
Bet he would giv timo boll a run 4 his money

A very impressive Skeletor laugh when you won that last point James!
I've not played for a bit – is 'evil laughing' the new "good boy"?

@jnboult One day I'm sure it will be a common sound at TT matches everywhere. We are just ahead of the game.

yes you are right
but its difficult for him to play against defenders on this age
but later i think if he learns a good topspin he can beat defenders
what i mean very much training (but against its desire of course against that am not possible I with difficulty) (sorry this is babelfish) lol

if he plays against a defender he is dead
ttplayerb 1 year ago
@ttplayerb He's 7 years old, what do you expect? He will be able to play defenders by the time he needs to, but there aren't many at his age.
