  • great planes the RAAF model with its 4x20mm cannon and the 4x .50 cal MGs must have had the greatest hitting power of all the allied fighters

  • @18tangles nice firepower, but not the flying characterisitcs to make it good in air to air

  • @infernalzen They were the equal of anything the Japs sent up against them in New Guinea Apparently the Jap pilots did not like to fight over the owen stanleys for some reason.

  • Beau was deadly in anti-shipping work - more so than most of the other planes mentioned.

  • @12lacroixsouslange

at duxford, they are 100% rebuilding one to flying condition :D

  • @infernalzen very glad! But i reckon if Beaufighter had been yank aircraft, they would have had a few

    more flying right now?

  • @darkmossie633

i havent made a video of my trip to raf hendon museum.

    they have a beaufort, beaufighter +blenheim :)

  • OUTSTANDING ....

  • The Beaufighter is my favourite twin engined fighter bomber. Very lethal and rugged looking and packs a truly awesome punch.

  • same, but the heinkel 219 is a pretty plane as well

  • True. The H219 is awesome with its futuristic and menacing form. While we're on 2 engines fighters, what about the Mosquito, the BF110 and the Ju88 nightfighters. All are beauties.

  • Well a mention must go to the P38 as well! Quite a plane.

  • Right on. The lightning is a slim nasty wasp among the 2 holers.
