Nice intro Guy! I was just give an old Sears lathe. People make fun of them on "serious" wood turning blogs. Well this is, by a country mile, the most fun machine I've ever owned. The turning part goes almost too fast. You can finish sand it right on the machine. That goes really fast. And I've even stained and applied a rub-finish. And it all turns out great. I love it. I look forward to seeing some more of your projects.
Great intoduction! I am in complete agreement with you when it comes to spending a little more to ensure you are going to receive quality tools and equipment. With a little practice, the best tools always produce the best work!

for only turning 3 weeks you have a great starter lathe. much better than i had starting.
