Does it really matter who the lead singer is? No. Honestly I've seen them in concert twice and they kicked ass. Alex sang the majority of the time, and when I say majority of the time I mean every song unless he was screaming. They have two totally different voices so you can pick them out on the cds if you listen hard enough. They are both epic. They are all really nice guys. End of story.

Side note: In concert one of the triple bass drums served as their beer cooler.  xD

Alex is the lead singer. Brandon (the drummer) was originally like background vocals. The guy on bass (don't remember his name) was like backup / background. Now Brandon is lsinging half or most of the songs, but he is NOT the lead singer.

Any band thats achieved success, learned to appeal to the mainstream because thats how you get played on big stations and move beyond just the internet radio stations, or XM or Sirius. Its how you make money in the business, I personally enjoy atreyus music for what it is, along with alot of other bands. If you like them, hop on the boat and support them for the ride. They gave me an appreciation of screams in music, which then allowed me to get into death metal. Which then allowed me to get into melodic death metal and that has got me into classical :L

They're signed to a mega-corporate record label that undoubtedly puts tremendous pressure on them and probably leaves them little creative control. But being in a band like Atreyu is a huge commitment. They're a team. If one band member quits, it's like a bad breakup. This is how they make their living, and compromise is part of the deal. They've got determination.
