Just take a stroll through Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta. A once pristine park now a an open haven for for drug dealers, lazy overly aggressive panhandlers, and homosexuals, transvestites and other weirdos practicing whatever assorted sexual deviancy that exists. A regular Sodom and Gomorrah it is.
Underground Atlanta is another armpit for young truant thugs and ghetto hoochies destined to become recipients of the welfare and/or penal system... Where's Mayor Giuliani when you need him?

I have seen this city go to hell in a hand basket. I grew up in what was a very nice part of town, now my old home is a crack house. My parents got out, and so am I. Horn Lake Mississippi, here I come.
Memphis stinks, BAD !! Crime is rampant. The schools are a breeding ground for gangs. How can you attract new businesses with that going on? If you want to hire more police, build more prisons, or improve schools, there is no money. If you want to use taxpayer money to build something sports related, well then the mayor is all for it and he can find money for that. It's corrupt and crazy here. I'm trying to sell my house and get out before I get caught by a stray bullet from a gang shooting.
People leaving is the problem. Good people graduate high school and leave Memphis, and the rest stay and get involved in crap. It's a vicious cycle that has been and will continue unless someone steps in and gets funding flowing into the city schools, which are providing not much more than a 6th grade education.This would reduce teen pregnancy, violence, and drug use that come as a result of hopeless, bored, apathetic youth. They need to know that they can have more than just mediocre lives.
It's not just about the politicians, it's about the people there as well. There's too much ignorance and people who just don't care about anything but themselves. Just get out while you can.
