i have upgraded windows xp to vista on my netbook acer aspire one, and when i click connect to a network, there are no networks available and i do have a wireless network already setup (that is how i am talking to you right now, on my other laptop). please help me

when i press connect, the type the code, it comes up with 'not able to connect' with the network.. what do i do ? i've tried loads of times

i found my router and click on connect but when i do it says "Windows connot connect to 2wire***" than it says "diagnose the problem" and "connect to a diffrent network" why is that? i cant use my wireless internet can some one help
