  • John, I have been using organic hard winter wheat berries to grow my wheat grass. My local health food store also sells hard winter wheat seeds, yhere is a huge difference in price between the two. Should I use the seeds or are the berries ok? Thank You.

  • seeds and berries are used interchangably. So try purchasing the berries and see how they grow. The one difference besides them both being "wheat seeds" they are probably different cultivars (or varieties) one may grow better / taste better or have other desirable traits. How wil you know? Try growing them and see what happens.

  • Thanks John, great vid, love, H

  • Yes, but how do we make wheatgrass taste better? I am thinking of puting a key lime through with every 2oz or so. I have a greenstar so it should be no problem.

  • Hi john! another good review, you help me make all my purchases!

Anyway.... After watching your review of the z-star manual juicer, im wondering which one do you actually like better?

    z-star or hurricane?

i will primarily juice wheatgrass only and do not care about portability.

  • Thankyou John

  • You confused me a bit in the video between tornado and hurricane. First you said u like design in hurricane and then you said you like tornado... So kindly clarify do you like tornado or hurricane and in this video which of the two it is; hurrican or tornado?

  • I like the hurricane design best.

  • @rawfoods

Hi John, thanks for the information. Does the hurricane juices also fruits and other leafy greens like kale or spinach?

  • is that stainless steel one the good for you brand? do you feel that is the best brand?

  • This is the "Tornado Stainless Wheatgrass Juicer

" available at discountjuicers. c o m This is not the good4u brand. I personally like the hurricane stainless wheatgrass juicer.

  • hi...great video! I currently have the GreenStar juicer but find that it is a bit too tedious for everyday juicing. I prefer it for heartier juices with beets etc a couple days a week. For alternate days, I am considering a simpe hand machine for wheatgrass blends. Do you recommend the Hurricane or Tornado for juicing tomatoes and oranges too? Also, do both machines require unclamping for cleaning or is the juicing parts fully detachable from the base? thanks!

  • I do not recommend a wheatgrass juicer for juicing citrus. i recommend a citrus press. I prefer the hurricane juicer. In this video the stainless unit requires unclamping. The healthy juicer can be disassembled and cleaned without unclamping.

  • cool

  • you basically nailed it mate

its not so much the wheat grass that is good for you but its actually the high amount of chlorophyll that it contains that makes it so healthy

which most green leafy vegetables also contain anyways

  • If you grow it with diluted ocean water, grass is the ONLY species of plant that absorbs ALL 90 essential minerals found in the ocean!

It's the way of the future...

  • @StopTheRobbery almost sounds too good to be true! where did you hear this? very interesting.
