I'm curious as to why you think this has nothing in common with actual drum playing. Replace the game with a MIDI controller, let that guy use the same drumset, and he'll play you the same exact song, except he'll be playing an instrument instead of a game.

I've seen some professional players play drums and no song in existence is played by sliding sticks super fast like that. That is purely something done for the game. That's what I mean.

I saw a GH arcade maching at a movie theater here. Talk about horrible. The guitar weighs more than the warbeast does and the strum bar if very tight. I don't fail songs often, I failed Knights of cydonia cause of the strum bar not being fast enough and 2 bucks to play a song on it. ( well the decent songs) don't play it if you see it in a arcade or anything.

They actually had a location test for this game and Guitar Freaks. I heard that the reason why it never took of in the US was becuase people hated how the scrolling was set up and how the bass pedal was placed.

I wasn't trying to make you laugh, or being biased, or anything... I've watched several GF videos, they looked easy to me. But I play real guitar, which even comparing Guitar Hero to, it's completely different.

Guitar Hero has it's own style, so I guess I just think it's harder because the style seems more advanced with the fact you have to adjust yourself to chords and buttons... 3 buttons does seem easy, but it's probably just faster and stuff. I'unno...

On another note. And I'll agree, the notes are almost impossible to see. But still, both games, Guitar Hero and Guitar Freaks, are both easier than real guitar... I'm not sure about the difficulty of GF until I play it.

GF and DM have the same difficulties ratings from 10(being the easiest) to 99(being the hardest). I don't even think "hard" is sufficient enough for levels over 90 though. But you just have to play and find out yourself.

Oh god no. The actual solo, on a real guitar, is /much/ harder than on Guitar Hero. My uncle's played guitar for like 14 years now and still can't do that solo on a real guitar, but we can all beat the song on GH...

A perfect example of difficulty of Guitar Hero compared to real guitar: People can decently play anything by Dragonforce on the game... But even Dragonforce themselves fucked it up in a live performance. xD

I disagree. IIDX ranks over Drummania in my book because just when you think you've got 7keys mode down, there is still 14Keys to play. Can't play double sets of drums. Pop'n gets pretty hard too, but I would rank it under both IIDX and DM.

I pretty much put Drummania over Beatmania because I'm much better at Beatmania than Drummania, but hey that's just me. Though I totally did forget about 14 key.

And though Guitar Freaks may be harder than Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero lets you jump into Guitar Freaks and not be total fail at it from the get go (only reason I'm good at it :)
