  • Where did you get the reflective scion logo and the side and back and the xd one? Also the one on the windsheild? And what about the grill's where did those come from?

  • Love it

  • So.... where does one get a kit like this?

  • I just picked up a silver car and Id like to add the scanner kit. It seems like a lot of the ones online scan too quickly or dont do the scan the same way. Where did you get yours and can you slow down the scan rate on the lights ? Is it connected to the battery and if so any issues with battery drain ?

  • Does this make other drivers lose control of their cars when you turn it on?

  • The xD has a 168/194 bulb mounted inside the headlight casing, they call it a "city light" but it's just part of the parking light system - I replaced the incandecent bulbs with blue LED bulbs I use for car shows, and just took the video with the parking lights turned on...

  • how did you get your head lights that blue?

  • DUDE! too cool man, love it

  • "Hello Michael" says Kitt!

  • @johnniwonton1976 Yeah, it's actually a Knight Rider setup - but like I mentioned in one of my first posts, the Knight Rider light was a direct copy of the original Cylon scanner eye - the same TV production team created both the original BSG in the late 1970's and Knight Rider in the early 1980's - but the Cylon scanning eye came first... ;)

  • Awesome. Any chance you still have the sound clip you used? I'm having the hardest time finding a clear cut of the updated scanner sound effect.

  • Damm, everyone with a scion playing with lightbulbs for some reason ?

  • So rather than a raider...it's a Raidcar? O.o lol still nice though

  • ....lol...

  • just out of curiosity, is it legal to have the sweeping red light on the front of a car? Wouldn't the police think you're trying to impersonate an emergency vehicle?

  • @LancePie Well, yes - if you have them turned on while driving. I only use the lights at car shows, when they are off nobody can even see that they are on the car, since they a re hidden behind the grill.

  • @CylonxD Yeah, that sucks,,, but Im sure you can chance it a few times if ur diving down the road to the grocery store,,, hell,,, Im sure you can get busted quicker on illegal tints?

  • nice even though BSG is gay emo porn :)

Caprica is a lot less gay.

  • Needs some talking sound. Yeah I know the new guys didn't talk, but how about some classic sound clips.

  • No, sorry - the other Cylon features on the car - a decal on the rear window and a painted engine cover - all have images of the updated Cylon Centurions from the 2005-2009 series only, so a talking Cylon voice from the 1970's series would not really fit the theme of the car. But, you never know, I may mix it up a little at some point in the future... would be a good attention getter at the car shows, I suppose!

  • @goldcylon I agree ! A Cylon voice saying "Move your frakkin' ass !" when the one before you just don't realizes it's green ^^

  • First they disguise themselves as humans, now cars?!

  • I guess they will do anything they can to defeat the human race, LOL...!

  • Cool, cool, cool. Big fan of Galactica myself.

  • Dude you should try it on a silver one...

  • Well, it would look more like a Cylon Centurion if my car was silver, except I don't like silver cars and would never buy one... and I had bought my xD before I came up with the Cylon/Scion theme... so blue it is...

  • Lol whats that droning nose? Sounds like that background theme music in Terminator

  • Lol, you obviously are not a fan of Battlestar Galactica, or you would know that is the sound the scanning eye of a Cylon Centurion or Cylon Raider makes as it moves back and forth...! As my description stated, the CD recording of the Cylon Scanning Eye sound was playing on my car stereo...

  • Sweet. can't wait to get my XD. :)

  • Haha, yeah, this one has the same Knight Rider labeling on the control box... but it works perfectly fine as a Cylon Scanner, too! In actuality, the scanner on KITT in the 1980's Knight Rider show was a direct copy of the Cylon Scanner in the original Battlestar Galactica series, which ran in the late 1970's. The same people produced both shows, and just reused the scanner idea in Knight Rider. They even re-used the same Cylon scanner sound for KITT's lights, for a brief time...

  • We but one of these (even had the "Knight Rider" labeled control box) in my friends 86 300zx way back in 2002. Classics never get old.

  • troy i want one!!
