  • This Is A Great Design! Much Love!

  • @JaredandJacobTV

Thank you so much my friend! Enjoy!!

  • can you post a list of the parts in the description?

  • Hello, could you please make a list of the parts that are needed for the build? I really think that this is a good idea for a cheap DSLR slider.

  • Has anyone found a plate like this on online or in the uk? i can't find one anywhere. Thanks for any help

  • Hey there. I'm in the UK and I'm trying to find the right bearings - because people do not sell them very much. I have found these - do you think they would work?

    SliderBearing

    Thanks!

  • @DuckHouseProductions

    H!

Yes they should work, they look pretty much the same as my bearings. You could also use bearings with ABEC 9, they roll a lot and are smooth.

  • @AdmirSarajevo Hey!

What kind of PVC pipe are you using?!

    Thanks, Jonathan.

  • @skinVISIBLE

It's the type that you put electrical wires through, you should find them in a hardwarestore..

  • how big are the corner brackets you used on this one? I picked up both 1'' and 1''1/2 but I can't tell by the video how big they are. Great design by the way!

  • @Jrclanet

These are 1" I belive, take the smaller ones. Remember, in order to make the slider as stable and smooth as possible, it needs to be as low profile as possible. So the smaller brackets would probably be the right way to go in any case =)

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I just built one of my own. Instead of welding the angles to the plate I used 2-component epoxy glue. Thanks again!

  • @Joshifilm

No problem, glad to help! Yes my first version had the angels glued. But I didn't want to risk my camera since it is a HMC151 with an adapter and HDMI monitor, and some really nice Nikon lenses. It's like 5.5 kilos, I think the super epoxy would be a bit risky for me =P

  • I have watched many how to build a "DIY slider" video's and this is one of the best. Did you weld the angel brackets to the steel plate or did you have someone do that for you? It's not important, but I was just wondering.

I agree with you about painting DIY equipment black, it looks professional.

Great Job and good luck with your career, Cheers to you!

  • @TomBabbTV

Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear that you like it, I hope it works for you!

My friend works as a welder, so he did it for me. It can't be that expensive to let someone do it, just tell them not to put any time on grinding it after the welding, since you can do that for your self and save money.

Yea black non glossy paint really gives it the pro look. Just a tip for you, carefully clean of the metal plates before painting them, they tend to be really greasy...

    Good luck!

  • lol should ahve used skatebaord bearings there $10 for 8 lmao

  • @TheMoo1231

There is a huge difference in quality between the bearings kids use under a wodden piece and industrial bearings used by engines.

  • @AdmirSarajevo actually, your wrong, the skteboard bearings are top quality and are very smooth. sure theres a different but its not noticible.

  • @TheMoo1231

On wide angle shots it's maybe not noticeable. But try to shoot with a camera rig and a 135mm nikon, and you will notice every little thing that vibrates in post.

  • @AdmirSarajevo If using the cheap kid's bearings, then those are poor quality. But there's a pro grade bearings used by pro skaters. Good quality, and smooth. Anyway, I'm planning to make a slider similar to yours. Great work man..! =)

  • @baguiopunx

Yes I know =). But if you get 8 bearing for 10 bucks as he said, you bet you will get some of the worst bearings earth has to offer =P. Glad to you liked it, don't forget to show what you made when you're done =)

  • have anyone tried this yet???

  • Cool!

  • How much did the bearings cost ?

  • @nemesiselite0

These bearings, in Sweden at least, costs about 5-6 dollars each in the hardware store.

  • where did you buy all the parts, any web link..

  • Great Tutorial Adde!

  • @ETFoto

    Thanx!
