  • When you say you cook the buffalo burgers in a little bit of water could you explain a little more. Do you mean like you would if you were using oil instead?

  • ooh! thanks for posting this! you have given me some good ideas XD I have never had buffalo- so I am going to look for that (after I have been out a few more weeks lol) but quick question- when were you able to start eating cereal? I am a cereal-aholic and the Special K looks really yummy- :D

  • I just recently started eating cereal (about 4 1/2 months post-op). I don't think it's on my list of foods (since it combines drinking and eating). My friend has been eating it since about 10 weeks post-op). I guess it all depends on your program.

  • i'm so scared i know this is about ur favorite foods but i wanna know what getting sugery is really like. i have the number wrote down that i need to call but i'm so scared, cause i know it wont be easy.

  • Hey there, It's not easy, but it is definitely worth it. You have to have your head in the right place though. If you're scared, there might be a reason. I'd wait and think about it and when I felt comfortable I'd make that call. Keep checking out all the videos on here. They give you a pretty good idea of what it's really like.

  • can you post your recipe for buffalo meat balls? sounds like something i'd like to try! thanks.

  • Hi, I don't really have a recipe. I just break up the burger meat and roll them into small meatballs. I simmer them in some seasoned water and put some tomato sauce or ketchup on them and some cheese. You could probably put the same stuff you would put in regular meatballs in them, I just haven't experimented with it. I hope that helps.

  • Maybe, it just seems weird to me that they can just say other and not mention what other includes. Makes me wonder.

  • Almond milk is pretty creamy and mild tasting. It's light and has a slight almond flavor. You should try some if they sell it around you. I also use the vanilla unsweetened. It's got less calories than soy but I think it also has less protein. Thanks for compliment!

  • Whole Foods and I go back and forth on our obsession with each other. When I was newly post op, I spent an hour just walking up and down every single aisle, kind of weird but it was relaxing in a strange way. I'm going to send you a PM.

  • I was wondering what you read about the soy milk. It is the only thing that I drink when it comes to "milk".

  • I saw a video on here talking about the estrogen in soymilk and some of the other naturally occurring chemicals that can negatively affect your thyroid. I did a search online and found info on both sides. I still have soy just not as much.

  • MJ you look fabulous! You are so lucky you can eat cereal... I have tried and get sick, I can't drink while I eat or it comes back up, and it happens with cereal too :(

  • I'm not supposed to be doing cereal, but I try not to have too much of the milk. I didn't realize the lapband was similar to the RNY that way.

  • Cereal has been my first drinking/eating together experience and I can't say that I feel a huge difference. How long are you supposed to wait after you eat to drink?
