where do authorities get the idea they hae a right to ban cameras, arent they slightly better than audio recorders....all the judge and lawyers do is scribble in theyr book the whole time....why not make up a rule that you can only use crayolas, you shitty assed preschoolers
@longfootbuddy A judge is not always a judge. He's not a judge when he's sitting at home watching TV and he's not a judge when he's sitting behind his bench. He's a judge only when he's presiding over a case and his jurisidction extends only to those who are members of the immediate case in question. He has absolutely no jurisdiction over anyone else. General court orders, such a s banning cameras in a court building, totally lacks jurisdiction and any authority. It legally doesn't exist.
@schlubber215 the whole system is tyrannical...anyone that questions who the slave is and who the master is, is practically blind...the "authorities", the cops and government, are clearly behaving as the masters, and we , the common people, are clearly being treated as the slaves
@longfootbuddy If you believe that the govt is the master and we're the slaves, and if you're a decent person, then you would be in armed revolt against the govt now, as it would be your duty to do so. I think however, that you're a very decent person, who is extremely angry at the injustices that are happening, as am I, yet you feel that they've not subjected us totally and that we still have some legal protections and methods to fight back. Do so. Don't accept govt just because it's the govt.
A judge can't issue a summary judgement of contempt of court, which the black robed felons refer to as "finding in contempt", and then sentence that person to jailtime. A judge can only charge someone with contempt of court and set a date for a jury trial to be conducted by another judge. To charge someone with contempt and then immediately proceed to sentencing is to commit aggravated kidnapping. Anyone is able to file a writ of Habeus Corpus on that person's behalf in any court at any time.
Victimless crime laws.. Standing at attention in the court also shows you ARE paying attention, and if you're going there to ignore the proceedings (or sleep or in general piss people off) why not save your seat for somebody who wishes to watch the proceedings and not be disruptive?
You're an activist? Good for you! Stand for what you believe in! But find a more appropriate place to do that. Like.. In the cold somewhere. Preferably outside and out of the streets.
Every liberty is more than a little issue. Should the court have the right to fine or arrest you for not standing? Should public servants be able to prohibit recording of them in their public capacity (for which we pay them). Should we not be allowed to stand on public streets for which we've paid? These are not 'little issues'. They are the most important issues. These are issues local to these people and politics begins at home.
OMG! I hope you were mistaken when you said you have a prosecutor that is also a cop! Whats next a third part time job as a judge? Then perhaps he can work weekends as a legislator. I cant believe you guys would allow this........
That was a great way to show camera people of good angles to take photo shots from. However, if someone didn't want to get close when taking the shots, they might also be interested in surrounding rooftops and buildings. =)
I dont know why you all try to be antagonistic. I must have missed what set it all off. On not standing, that could make back pain sufferers look like they are in defiance when the thing is the back is in pain. I sure am missing the whole point here. SO what if you humor the judge? So what. Judges can and have done good things in my area. It is needed for law and order. I dont understand why on all this. Let it go. Life goes on.
Sitting down or standing is needed for law and order? The point is that people are being arrested and jailed for victimless crimes which harmed no-one. Standing/sitting in court is just one of many.
this act of defiance tho, bring attention to those with spinal cord injuries who have a hard time sitting a standing. The person with a broken back does not mean the same thing as this guy does. Unless someone has lived with spinal cord injuries it is hard to explain. The pain is unbearable. I do not agree with this tactic. God forbid anyone ever have 20 hour a day bedridden. So if I dont move fast enough, I suppose I will be tased. A person can look ok, but have back issues,
Define "law". With more "laws" continually being applied within our judiciary, almost all of which have no victim, are we incrementally allowing the courts to abrogate basic freedoms? And I could never understand why judges would want court viewers to stand up whenever they might enter or exit the room. This exhibits an air of elitism, or nobility, towards judges. Justice in America should always be humble.
Great JOb!!!! You guys are real patriots and are the ones that helping the morons in the united states that have no idea whats going on to have the rights that they do. Thanks for being at the front lines. In my opinion you guys are the patriot military. Risking your freedom and safety for all. GodBless you guys and i hope to move out there to join you guys.
Apparently, all the press atttention and activism is beginning to work. I'm pleased to hear that none of the three(?) people were hassled or arrested for not standing for his lordship, the judge. It's funny how that little pamphlet was being passed back and forth like a hot potato. But as they repeaatedly tell us, Ignorance of the law is no excuse. When law enforcement "enforces" unlawful orders, then THEY ARE breaking the law. So it seems that hypocrisy is alive and well in the local PDs.
I'm surprised the police aren't being blamed for not putting down enough salt. I laugh at the irony of his seeking medical attention at a facility where so many of the caretakers date or are married to police. KARMA.
Those cops forcefully removed you fom the courtroom and moved you to another location while displaying weapons. They committed aggravated kidnapping.

There's supposed to be a wall between church and state. The state should not be using the law to enforce medieval religious rituals.
