this video is excellent. I wish it would go for a bit longer. I am fascinated with Freud's influence on Surrealism - which he allegedly opposed considering that artist's were more attune with neurotic fantasies than uncovering truth. Freud claimed that psychoanalysis was a 'science' but it has since been regarded as a theological practice which, much to Freud's dismay, has been likened to art.
The only people who consider it a "theological" practice (I know of no psychoanalyst who would call it that) and thus discard it in favor of cheaper psychopharmocological treatments would be insurance companies.
