I watched this on Netflix the other day. And now I will purchase it. Joss Whedon & John Cassady did a fantastic job bringing the X-Men back to its roots.

Would be nice if Marvel made more animated movies for X-Men and Spider-Man like how DCAU does. Jean is gone, missing. Wolverine doesn't like how Scott is handling it by the realtionship with the Emma.

@DarkMerchant2222 They are unable to make animated movies for them without involvement from the studios that own the feature film rights to them (FOX for X-Men, and Fantastic Four, Elektra, Daredevil... and SONY for Spider-Man). It sucks but they are only to make animated movies for Iron Man, The Avengers and characters not owned by a studio because they own the movie rights to those characters. Sucks big time.

@altbogdan she's missing. Cyclops dukes it out with Wolverine because Logan disputes his greaving process. The Astonishing XMEN comics are so awesome, this just made it even better. This feels like the XMEN 3 i never got (which the story of a mutant cure was loosely ripped off of this awesome comic)

this series is GREAT!!!! i would much rather watch this then say the other animated shows they have put out because you get to see a lot of the effort the artist put into working on these graphic novels with some movement/realism and a great story.. I LOVE THE WORK MARVEL

It's a motion comic because it uses actual comics as a base, and animates them.

You can say that of any animation or for the matter , the un-animated Marvel Heroes of 1966-Thor , Captain America, Ironman., and Namor. They too used actual drawings from comics that were published, which is not the case here. But to resume if it has animation for me it is not comic books, they are two separate forms of expression .

No, they are definitely using the comics as a base, saying as someone who has read the issues displayed in this trailer. Check out Astonishing X-Men vol. 3. If they were simply using the story from the comics as the base, Marvel has proven to be able to make animation of much higher quality than this- which was limited by using the original comic art and animating that.

I understand wht you say, but even if they have comics as a base, the use of animation and sound makes them Animation for me. Marvel wouldn t market this products by saying, " Barely Animated Series" no, instead they use the concept of motion comic, much more appealing, but a market strategy, nothing more.

This reminds me of the case of Mike Mignola.. Mignola contributed on designing characters such as Mr. Freeze for the Batman animated series, they dint call that motion comics, or comics in movement, no it is just animation.

Id rather see something like spiderwoman rather than this its true what many are saying, that this looks like an adult swim cartoon. I believe they shouldnt try to animate fully the comic and instead they should do really good voice acting and some animated aspects like in spiderwoman, at least for now until they are able to animate fully the whole comic l im looking forward this but hopefully theyll improve the animation

we should organize a huge funeral, like the size of michael jackson's (i heard it was really big) put Marvel merchandise in a massive coffin and write MARVEL on the tombstone.
