"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." (I Tim 2:12) Since Beth is talking about spiritual discernment, I wonder what she would discern of this very clear statement by the apostle Paul?
@theearstohear You'll notice that most of her teaching is to women (and women are to train and teach each other - Titus 2) and that some men just choose to listen in because she's that good ;) it's not subversive or usurping.
@sizesmall1756 - She teaches - Paul "suffer(s) not a women to teach." MOST is to women, but not ALL, there are men in the audience on this video. Paul said "aged women" are to "teach (Tit 2:3)... the YOUNG WOMEN to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands..." (Tit 2:4-5) Beth Moore is in keeping with the mindset of the modern woman, but is at odds with the teachings of the apostle Paul.
We heard this story few mos. ago. It's sad someone went through the trouble of making up a life they said they lived, then writing a book in it. Beth was sweet about it . Lol most of the time ppl are trying to escape from the past memories...not make them up..spiritual discernment is a must!
