  • @Shinymensdressshoes: Thanks. This is one of my favorite Carpenters' songs, filled with nostalgia and a sense of loss for something idiotic I did so many years ago.

  • Karen will always live....her heaven sent voice is timeless. All too short life, but enough to show her beautiful spirit through her many songs along with Richard...

God Bless Karen wherever you are darling.

  • this is an amazing and such a beautiful song I Love Karen's beautiful voice it is so soothing and so warm I really really Love this wonderful song it makes me feel nostalgic Karen was one of the best singers of all time and I really miss her and I feel sad when I hear this song I get really emotional and I Love all of the classic carpenter songs they are so beautiful and so touching there wonderful songs mean alot to me I grew up Listening to the carpenters and I still Love there songs

  • Wasn't this first released as a single in the fall of 78?

  • @yendor1152 It was released as a single in June 1978.

  • Who can´t fall in love with this one-of-a-kind voice.....Miss you since 02/04/83

Hope I meet you in heaven darling

  • wow..i had forgotten this. i never much liked it decades ago but for some reason now it sounds poignant and beautiful! RIP Karen!

  • What a beautiful song by a likewise beautiful lady, sung in such a meaningful and easy way, Karen was by all accounts a nice person who just needed to be loved and cherished, wrapped in cotton wool and kept from harm. I can't listen to any of her songs without at some stage feeling a lump in my throat for the sense of loss. Karen we all miss you so badly,if only you could see we loved you exactly as you were and however much you changed , we always would. God bless you Karen x

  • I love this song! Thank you sharing.

  • The Carpenters' James Bond title song- it's something to do with the style of the arrangement. I can see it now: a title sequence showing how 'romantically' duplicitous Roger Moore's Bond could be. Much better than Moonraker.

  • How awesome is this????????????????

  • WOW! This song rocks!

  • How I love this song and the the beauty of Karens voice! God! I miss her so much!

  • Not say just how this song moves me. she is beautiful and makes me travel in time. good times. Times that are gone and will stay only in my memory.

  • Uma grande dupla que deixou saudades, mas deixou musicas que ficou na lembrança.

  • Beautiful song it's timeless and unforgettable.I love The Carpenters and Karen Carpenter.

  • Nope, most certainly a girl, and a particular one at that!

  • I vividly remember this wafting out of the speakers of FM Radio back when i was a pre-teen in Puerto Rico. I consider myself blessed with having grown up with the sound of Karen's voice. Wherever you are, Goddess, you are ALIVE.

  • Such a beautiful song. Absolute, unconditional love. That last line , "Honey, I love you," has always stayed in my heart and mind since the first time I heard this song. I remember thinking, "My God, I'd give anything to have a girl (later, 'a woman') say those words to me with the sincerity and feeling that Karen Carpenter put into singing them. A lot of years have gone by (I'm 57 now) and I still haven't heard them. Probably never will, at this point, but I still dream when KC sings them.

  • Maybe you're hoping a guy will say those words to you.

  • @ron71552 aw, ron71552 don't give up hope. I've known of a number of people who found love for the first time at an older age :)

  • @belladeballe Hi. Thanks for your hopeful words. I wish that I was as optimistic as you are!

  • @ron71552 Love your comment ron!

  • Timeless, and simply unforgettable.
