Awful lodda chuffing on the Sangean. I have the old Radio Shack DX-440, which is a Sangean ATS 803, and it chuffs the same way. I now have a Sangean PR-D7 for AM/FM, and it works fine (does not have shortwave bands, though).

Degen looks like its image rejection was not good, 10 db only we measured, but ATS-909 has over 45dB. therefore DE1103 received the image station from MW band.

wow!!, nice and fair test.

I have this two radios, the cost of the Sangean is 4 times more, throw it away is not a business, maybe sell it on ebay, and every bands is like this test, sensitivity and selectivity, would be good to the manufacturers look this, and comparing prices, Sangean not worth the cost, and Degen cost considerably more.

È.. vero.. sono già riuscito a sentire il timecode orario sui 77kHz ma senza decodificarlo per il momento e qualche conversazione CB.

Avresti qualche guida o consiglio sul radioascolto... specialmente sulle antenne! Sappi che io comincio da adesso.. praticamente non so niente!!!

Os dois receptores estavam coma chave de sensibilidade na posição DX? Se sim, é extremamente visível a superioridade de sensibilidade de recepção do DEGEN DE1103. Excelênte video de comparação, quase que eu ia comprar um Sangean ATS909. É o que sempre digo, "beleza não põem mesa".

Sorry but I don't know the Degen 31MS loop. If you want to build a very good loop, please look the videos "ng9d loop" here on youtube.

I have both the DE1103 and the TG34 antenna (which is the same as the Degen 31MS or KA33). That is a killer combination. Highly recommend.

Ho comprato anche la custodia e l'antenna loop da interno!

Ciao Claudio! Mi fa piacere la tua scelta. A mio avviso il Degen è superiore al Sangean in certi aspetti, inferiore in altri. Comunque il rapporto qualità prezzo è nettamente a favore del cinese, senza ombra di dubbio. Appena lo ricevi fai un video della radio abbinata al loop!!!

Great video, I have the Degen DE1103 and I think it's a very sensitive receiver. Plus a very low price tag.
