He then proceeded to throw the broken stick across the ice, that is what the penalty was called for. See Nhl rule 53.1-throwing of equipment. Ive seen many stars break their sticks on the boards or goalposts and have never seen it called a penalty. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you comment.

@laxattack1020 you are definately correct crosby has gotten much better. i would still like to ssee a little less mouth but he is also still young and even ovechkin and any other young star you name trash talks. i believe crosby was a little worse though and i didnt like the cheap shot when he punched the dude in the balls from behind in a scrum. but crosby has been much better of late and i have been able to get over him more. i still dont think he is the best HOCKEY player in the league.

Since when is it illegal to break a stick? You guys take everything Crosby does on the ice and magnify it. Like when he crosschecked Zetty at the end of a game against the Wings. People use this as evidence of Crosby being a sore loser, but nobody mentions Zetterberg performing a can opener with his stick between Crosby's legs at the faceoff before the cross-check. Just let the kid play hockey and enjoy watching.

@prid92 You don't have all the facts there, buddy. Lundqvist broke the stick on the crossbar, which, as you pointed out, does not constitute an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. He then proceeded to throw the broken stick across the ice, that is what the penalty was called for. See Nhl rule 53.1-throwing of equipment. Ive seen many stars break their sticks on the boards or goalposts and have never seen it called a penalty. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you comment.

It shows he thinks he's a diva and everything should be handed to him on a silver platter. He thinks d-men should let him go through. Also, he kept holding his stick after it broke off = automatic 2-min penalty, but Crosbaby didn't get a penalty, cuz he's "special". He also threw it in the corner of the ice, that's usually a game misconduct.

1st of all OVIE IS JUST AS PROTECTED AS CROSBY. and ANYONE WHO THINKS DIFFERENT IS BLINDED if Ovie was any other player he would have been suspended for alot more games then just two after that Campbell hit.
