So Song #8 is currently my favorite for a few reasons:

The introduction of the bass (I assume it's a bass guitar?) at 0:15. It's so smooth and low and feels incredibly right. I like how it comes in on the word "scared" and keeps a steady supportive rhythm. Like a someone comforting you when you're upset.

And there's the note on "year". It's eerie, foreboding, apologetic, and so damn sad all at once. And to top it off with the running-away-sequence? Tragic.

The whole thing is gorgeous, really.

I've listened to this over & over again and just now, with headphones blasting, have I realized the lyrics you sing when you turn around. The slow motion/position change are both entrancing and distracting from the lyrics. Now, I'm curious as to how many times you've slipped messages in this way (aka gunnarolla marathon night).
