The AIDS patient can choose NOT to do this. But it's win-win if the AIDS patient doesn't wanna let his/her relatives get the policy. The AIDS patient actually gets money WHILE he/she is alive.
It's just the aspect that it "looks bad" that people who invested says "yay" when the person dies. The AIDS patient doesn't have use for the money when he/she is dead.
So you would *rather* let the AIDS person have NO money because it looks bad at the investor's aspect?
@allowambeBOWWAMB you are correct, but heres the problem with this arrangment. they/elite/nwo/wealthy will never let a cure for aids/cancer reach the public. especially with profits at 50% of the original investment.
did you ever wonder why aids/hiv was never quarantined? this is why.
"they" want us to die. and why not make a few bucks in the process
profitting from aids.....dead pheasants insurance policies.....when the fuck are we going to stand up and put an end to this bullshit?
@adrewk Well, people choose to do this, it's not like they are forced to make this arrangement. The market is only the sum of people's voulenteer actions. Denying this would be denying free will and that we are just mere leaves blowing in the sky.
What we should be pissed at, is FDA and government regulations, who makes medicines way more expensive. Without FDA it would be 90% cheaper!
@allowambeBOWWAMB Exactly. No one forced the patients to sell their policies. They weren't being cheated or extorted (or, as far as I know; if they were put under pressure by the brokers to sell, then that's different!)
The issue, on the part of the broker, is not whether they are taking advantage of the patients; it's whether they have the stomach to accept a positive (the profit) from a severe negative (a stranger's inevitable premature death).
I hope some of these guys get a really painful disease. This is absolutely the lowest of the lowest. I don't call these people "human". Sorry, in my book they are not human anymore.
The person that sells their policy wants half the money now, so that they can enjoy the remainder of their lives, rather than the whole amount after they're dead.
It's a voluntary transaction. The company is providing a service, if they were not here, they person with AIDS would have to die after a less enjoyable end of life.
I don't see what's wrong. The person with AIDS at least spends the rest of his days with some money. Are the investors supposed to care for some complete stranger? They aren't killing him. If all this weren't in place the person with AIDS would simply stop paying his premiums and live his last days poor while the company who insured him would get a big profit.
You people need to think about everything that is going on.
I cannot wait until the day capitalism falls on its damn head and we as americans think of an alternative. I mean come on...before capitalism we had shitty means of governing a society then we birthed capitalism, I cannot wait to see what is next, because this is not the answer for humanity as a whole, hope we are all alive to see it.
From a person's point of view of growing up in Japan in the 70s and 80s, Won't be long.
I cannot promise you that you and I will be still alive at the time, but like the old saying is totally true: "there's nothing would be forever." If the capitalism won't fall by itself, then some group of people would take it down. There was an old Japanese expression chanted by everyone in Japan back in the 70s: "Jaywalking----It'll be nothing if we all do it together." It'll happen.
Capitalism has been around ever since 1621 with the Dutch West India Company. It isn't going away anytime soon. I don't go down to your local Wal-Mart where you work and bitch about why you still have a job so don't bitch about my job.

It's morbid, but not unethical.
