That certainly is a possibility...but what about Iran now...they are ranked by Transparency International 's CPI...Corruption Perceptions Index...as one of the 6 most corrupt Govts. in the ENTIRE WORLD...so WTF has changed...except that now women have to wear the hijab and gays get hanged from cranes....riddle me that!

@EdwardRommel i left iran in 1977 sha was steel in power 85% of iran was un educted poor now what does rasa the sun of sha knows a bout poor he lived in palce and living like a king they honestly owned the coryunt and the poor pepole so you think iran need another king i was 16 years old i would cry to see how pepole were suffing and seceret police was very brutal

Hopefully Iran will someday have a real democracy with one person one vote, freedom of speech, assembly and press.

The Islamic Republic is not a real democracy and yes Iran still has a lot of corruption...maybe it is part of the culture there...maybe there will always be a lot of corruption in Iran.

@laylafrackiewicz  He talks about the death of his sister in 2001 how could this interview be done in 1998?. He is still a relatively young man he is 50 or so.

The era of the Pahlavi dynasty is long over.. And the epok of the Islamic Regime is comming to an end.. Do remember that Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was exiled for a reason and that it was the people that removed him from his throne. Iran has lived through many conspiracies.

Besides, having a king in a democracy is silly and can easily be corrupted.

Through I must agree that it would become a better country with him instead of the regime.

the shah went into excile freely because he wanted to avoid more bloodshed caused by the revolution. the iranian people were decieved by a bunch of fanatical mullah's and made to believe that iran could be a great nation. they forgot that iran already was a great nation under the rule of the shah. what a mistake they made by bringing the regime down! what remains of the great image iran once had? nothing! but i do agree with you that the islamic regime is coming to an end. btw: merry chrismas!

not everybody thinks like you, thank god! just look at the support the Pahlavi family is getting on youtube and other websites! They allways knew and they still know what is best for iran. but people just would'nt listen. and the result of that failure of the people are here today.
