@alteredoptions , o boy, i saw it a year ago here on youtube. don't remember the title of the clip but it was and interview when he was young (about 22 years old) before he was famous he was in a black suit , white shirt and tie .the fight footage was shown in the middle of the interview , lasted bout 15 seconds. it was quick. all i can tell u is look for a black and white clip of Bruce talking first and the clip time is bout ten minutes long. if i find it before u then i'll point u to it :)

The one inch punch is easy to do fairly well if you understand the physics behind it. Just like a boxer's punch, you have to direct the energy from your back foot all the way through your body and out through your fist.

Bruce lee was amazing. But the one inch punch is not really that impressive. The person he is punching is standing flat footed and is off balance for any type of strike or push. If he had one foot forward he would never go flying onto his ass like that.

totally useless technique and really nothing special about it. notice that prior to the punch Bruce pushes his foes in order to place their center of masses as backwards as possible, so they fall back farther when punched, making the punch look more powerful than it would otherwise.

Ip man didn't train Bruce to fight.it was one of his students who did. this was because most of the students didn't think he belong in the school cause Bruce was part white.But Bruce introduced the Ip man's style of fighting along with Ip man to the world. there is footage of Bruce fighting a guy with knives and putting him down fast. he was NOT just an actor like people say. I'd have to say the worst of them would be the combo of "Fist of Fear/Touch of Death". It's absolute garbage.
Yeah Bruce was in films in his youth because his father was an actor also, he mostly played bit parts in dramas and comedy's. In "The Little Orphan" he had his first fight scene(to my knowledge).

it's crazy people don't like Bruce because he was not in tournaments like Chuck or the ufc. Bruce said he was a real street fighter and he used his skill against guys with knives and chains without refs period. guys that lived around him said he was always fighting and got beat up a lot when he was a kid but he kept on trying. he had a hard head and a lot of heart. it is no lie that he did loose fights before he came up with his own style. he was picked on because his mother was mixed.

Sure you can use it in a real fight. You gotta stop looking at demos as if they're representing a technique you would use directly in any situation, and instead look at the concept behind it.
It just so happens that the concept is to punch with the body behind the punch, not just using your arms. The saying would be something like "don't just punch AT the body, punch THROUGH the body", which is easier if you step in and punch rather than swinging your punches around.

@ttv0 Bruce lee wasn't about strength he was about technique.You clearly have no idea of Jeet Kune Do or Bruce Lee.The one inch punch is a trick based on moving the center of gravity of the opponent.He didn't invent the one inch punch he just changed the name.The rushing punch or hammer punch originating from China was used by many southern Chinese martial arts.Bruce wasn't demonstrating strength he was showing that if you use your whole body even the smallest punch can be effective.

He's using a very powerful technique that requires a very small movement of the wrist that he made very popular. (He wasn't the creator though.)
