Have you considered You Tube Partnership? Looks like you got 7500 channel views and about 250,000 overall views. That should be enough to put you into serious consideration. I'm not sure how much you could make, but if it paid for your controller, you'd have your car going at least. Before you apply start a blog at blogger and then apply for adsense after one week and you upload at least 5 blogs. Google Adsense ties in with YT Partners, so it helps to have that.
@YourIntertainment I am a Youtube partner, but only on some of my more popular videos. For me, it's not much of a moneymaker haha I've had it for a couple months and I'm up to $7 :-P I also have adsense on my website but i'm not sure how many views that's getting.
OKay, yea there's two kinds of partners. The full partnership is a little harder to get. If you've ever watched Davidsfarm he claims to do really well with it. Maybe if you nurture it a little it will grow. Good Luck :)
@YourIntertainment Yea, I've been interested in getting a full partnership. Dave was making around 3-4k a month sometime last year. I don't think my EV videos are getting many views anymore. On some videos 1-2 days old of Dave's they already have like 75k views haha. Every little bit helps though.
hey mate. long time no speak. go with the kit. i'm going to get one to compare mileage to my curtis. i think they will be the go. but you gotta remember mate that the noise in the curtis is there to save the commutator in the motor.
Request them sto ship a new one with return papers so you can ship back the old one. The controller was faulty.
If you cant get a new one or repair, request a refund!
Tell them you need it for your EV project and your internet audience and fellow EV builders are as upset as you that the controller blew despite being wired correctly.
Best of luck Kyle! Dont make me come and kick your ass to make a phone call.. ;)
PS: Im also very interested in that 500amp DIY controller, watched some videos about it. 500 amps are alot! :)
I wish there was more information about that project, but i might have missed it.
Im currently looking a bit into how to use multible low end 50-100amp controllers and stacking them together :)
Im no expert but it would be nice if that worked somehow, i think one would have to create a custom DIY "master" controller of sorts to be able to pull that off though..
you may need to drain your batteries a little and recharge them, maybe every month or so to keep them from goin dead

Isn't the controller repairable by swapping out some parts ?
I hope you keep those batteries charged.

well time for an update, did you get a controler kit yet?

I agree with ffsallnamestaken 100%.
I think an older hvac control panel with a few mods would be a cheap diy possibility.
Do you know if that motor has a run capacitor?

Like I said, the biggest issue is cash right at the moment. Now I have to wait it out until the kits are for sale.
