  • And yet another 'old boy' (1958/62). Oh how the years roll back listening to this glorious music that was not fully appreciated then, at such a young age.

  • @4jays1 Another one. Rewarding moment this video. I appreciat that very much.

  • I go to Westminster Cathedral Choir School and i'm in year eight.. I am a day-boy but i listen to the Choristers sing every day and they are truly AMAZING!!! Some kids there can sing better than most of the adult vocals at the Cathedral and they can truly go very far with their vocals and personalities!!!!!

  • @EliteApplez Wow you're very, very lucky you know. Great experience at this time, I'm sure. Thank you for this comment

  • @treblechoir99 ur welcome :)

  • @EliteApplez I'm jealous that you get to listen to them every day!

  • @Hateires lol yes they are very talented!!! :)

  • the video is really poor but the voices are sublime

  • Dommage la qualité video est affreuse, reste la musique qui emporte tout par sa beauté.

  • Whether you be Catholic, Anglican or a former devout believer in the message of Jesus but who no longer is a member of any commuinion (as I am) you can enjoy this wonderful music.

  • Absolutly. You know my friend, this Renaissance's period giving a moment important for all Humanity, for his spirit and his heart. You also call it: Universal Music.

  • @ifuliki : absolutely right.

  • My old choir. Former chorister 1980-84. Whatever the faults of other members of the Catholic church Cardinal Basil Hume was a very very good man.

  • He's very appreciat too from Anglican's Church.

  • @muscleboi4use Also my old choir, choirister under James O'Donnell from 1990-1994. Although i'm not religious anymore, Basil Hume was a great man. He used to play cricket with us in the choir school playground, using his walking stick at a cricket bat!

    Great memories.

  • @muscleboi4use Mine too!! I was there from 1960 -1964 under the musical direction of Colin Mawby. This video certainly brings very many memories back!

  • Wesminster Cathedral is Catholic. I often attend mass there.

Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral are also in London and they are Church of England.

  • @singlelaw I think you mean Roman Catholic; the Anglican Church is also "Catholic".

  • @Eurofrank1 No, the anglican church isn't catholic. It's ANGLOcan = Church of England.

Westminster Cathedral is catholic, the Abbey is CoE and St Pauls is CoE.

  • @donuldvan No, the Anglican church is also known as the Anglo-Catholic church and EVEN the Reformed Catholic Church (of England). The Anglicans also say the Nicene creed, including the words. "I believe in the holy catholic church", which doesn´t only mean the Roman Catholic church.

  • @donuldvan Kyrie is a church prayer, in the mass, common in all Christian Churches, whether Eastern or Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Armenian, Russian Orthodox, Coptics, Protestants and Anglican. It professes the Trinitarian doctrine on the existence of ONE God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

  • But, I am sorry, dear english catholic friends: I was born in Avila, where Victoria was.

And you have NOTHING like him in your country, jeje.

  • May I introduce you to a couple of chaps called Tallis and Byrd? Not the same style as Victoria but definitely as good!

  • @C2209w Don' t be little please boasting this way...., every Country has their own geniuses.

  • One of the most amazing churches of the world: piety, good music, good liturgy.

    You can feel God there.

    Happy english catholics!

From: a spanis catholic whose country has nothing like this.

  • That's Spanish Catholic music they're singing!

  • I am not Roman Catholic but I do think that this is really great choral music.

  • I believe Westminster is Anglican but theyre music is nice.

  • @JenseninBrizo nahh...Westminster is Catholic.

  • the chant was also used in maurice durufle's requiem. very lovely piece.

  • I love this kyrie! its such a nice piece, Ive heard this at a few tradentine mass funerals

  • Does anyone have the whole event? If so could they please upload it?

  • what setting is this?

  • the Victoria requiem I believe

  • thanks :D

  • with the Chant Requiem intones

  • Splendide! Merci Treblechoir

  • @paschalilaud It's a Requiem, he is available in amazon. Take with the Westminster Cathedral.

  • awesome

    god bless

  • Absolutly, I love this period, Renaissance.

  • Excellent stuff. Thank you.
