If Jimmy Clanton was an honest man he would tell the truth, he did not write this song, my late father wrote this song when he was 15 years old. He entered this song in a contest that Mr. Clanton advertised..but he never contacted my dad. My dad didnt know about copyrights back then. Its sad that this man took advantage of a young teen.
Ya, this doesn't sound right. I think it may be the original, but played on a way too fast turntable. I can't find the original anywhere on Youtube. There used to be a few of them, since it was his first hit.
