Napoleon was just a sick narcissistic moron who thought only of himself. He was paying his bitch Josephine 3 millions francs a year, guess how? With the money he got by sacking places. What a piece of shite
System01 is absolutely right. The folk tale about "Not tonight Josephine" is precisely that: A fiction coined in a bad Victorian farce. In reality "[Whatever & whenever Josephine wanted] I generally had to give way." (Napoleon)
I love this video, especially the German intro: (ich hasse alle an J, ihre Name, ihre stemme, ihere dofet, allles) Iint sure though if the the spelling is right, sorry GErmans, I neaver mean to abuse other peoples Sprachen
on the fact that anyone have comment in spanish i will...creo que ha sido una super pelicula amo a napoleon y es cierto , napoleon estaba profundamente enamorado de josefina
Gracias por subirla!!(thanks for movie) VIVA MEXICO"
This sounds so pathetic, but I think watching this miniseries is making me fall in love with Napoleon. Clavier does such a good job of his character. I just feel really lame saying that.
Does anyone know where I can find the english version of this miniseries? I've been looking all over, and I can't find it. Can someone please tell me where I can watch it? Thanks!
I watched this movie twice (I think with original voice of actors & actresses in English?, nicht auf deutsch) and I enjoyed it very much^^ John Malkovich acted quite funny. Thank you very much for uploading^^5☆
Though it is interesting that after coming back from his campaign as a general in Egypt angry about her affairs, where he locked himself in a room where she begged for forgiveness outside the door as in the video, he took mistreses himself. Once he learned of her affair in Egypt, he took one of his soldier's wives and send the soldier back to Paris on a fool's mission. Then he had numerous mistresses during the marriage, but he always said he only loved Josephine.
Not true to history!- Napoleon was MADLY in love with Josephine- just read any Napoleon biography and you'll find out. Some bios. have included some of his passionate love letters to her. He only divorced her because she could not give him a male heir. At his final exile on St. Helena, he wrote- "Josephine is the only woman I have ever truly loved- she reins in my heart and I morn for her".
He was madly in love with her, yes. I've read his Italy campaign letters to her. But he did come close to divorcing her after Egypt, when he heard about her affairs. And after that he would put her off for other women and had many mistresses. Of course, he was still deeply attached to her though. 'Sides, St. Helena was a political memoir - he would deliberately snub Austria by preferring Josephine to Marie Louise, he was bitter enough about her and her country and not being able to see his son.
The emperor!

The fact that the beginning is in German makes it all the better! Germans have a monopoly on sounding pissed off.

Napoleon had affairs with younger women. He wasn't the first in history to do that and he certainly won't be the last.

Actually it's his own fault. You get the X and Y chromosomes from the father. So Napolean divorced her from his mistakes.
