I buy sunglasses for the lens quality and functionality. Of course the look is important but I pass on many styles for function. My every day sunglass is Oakley polarized with rubber pieces on the temples. Cuts down on glare and they won't fall off. For dress up I'll wear Rayban, revo or a $400 pair of Armani's.

The higher priced Ray Bans arent necessarily more stylish then the 10 dollar gas station specials... The reason to get Ray Bans or Revos or any Glass Lens sunglass is the Optical Qualityl... If you have to wear them for long periods of time like Driving or some outdoor activity, cheap distorted optics will strain your eyes and give you headaches... Just because they are not magnified does not mean you can ignore the optical quality of the lens..

Bottom line is Sunglasses to be chosen and worn for image but more to protect your eyes from Sun light damage... Why should I buy a $10 unknown lenses to look good only? Maybe an advice of good quality lenses and also frame even spots sitting on your nose are very important, have a look at maui jim a very good frame, superb lens and please mention a poloraized lenses for a better protection,

you know there is no such thing as THE perfect pair its actually PAIRSSS more than one. you should never go too cheap because that might just be bad for your eyes that is the main reason why you have shades for. i do own close to 50 pairs and i do work for a global optical manufacture and recently bought a pair made of platinum and whit gold. now a day $200 glasses are the new $15. just remember if u cant afford the really high end, dont be tacky and buy knock offs, people can tell

@SirLanceMan I'm sorry if this it bothers you that it's ME who is responding, and not AlphaMconsulting, but my personal opinion is this. Don't do Oakleys. Oakley's usually come in black or white and are pretty sporty if you ask me. They're a bit over-priced, and they're made out of plastic. You might like to go with some metal shades, with a solid colour lens. The lens shouldn't be really anything but black, brown, and maybe green or blue. You'll have to decide there. @ANONONTHEJEWTUBE oakleys by far are probably one of the best in the world with superb optics from polarized to gradient smart photo-chromatics and exquisite materials like titanium stainless steel and if u have the money carbon fiber sure they some cheaper plastic frames but the lenses which is the most important thing are never compromised. sporty is just their niche, now a day they come and very cool and even dressy shapes

It's definitely worth paying more money for good quality lenses.

Ray-ban and Oakley have great lenses, and are definitely worth the money. At the end of the day, a pair of sunglasses are to protect the eyes.

Others maybe aren't as sensitive as me, but cheap sunglasses will have distorted lenses (especially the curved ones).

Most lenses are optically correct when flat, but when the plastic is then curved, it refracts light to a different extent at different points (this causes headaches).

Yeah agree, i spent 80 bucks on a pair of sunnies here in Australia at a glasses shop, i only got them because i lost the 10 dollar pair i got in Alberta Canada in 07 from a Gas station, and they looked amazing on me. they broke and i sorta lost faith in them.. mistake :(

Sunglasses are also a skin care item. If you have light skin, make sure you get a large pair that covers the area around your eyes in order to avoid looking 10 years older because of deep lines and wrinkles. I use 50+ SPF sunscreen with sunglasses.

A lot of you look like you're having trouble finding the right pair! I did too until I got some prescription ones. Even if you don't wear glasses, check out the eyewear stores. They have a bazillion frames to choose from and you can get a non-prescription lens with all kinds of sunglass finishes, and a lot of them are very inexpensive. If I didn't need a prescription, my last pair would have cost about $30, and I didn't even check the price tag-I went for the pair that looked best!

Luxottica in Italy makes every think from oakly, chanel, ray-band, polo, Versace, Dona Karan and everything in between. In the case of high end glasses you really are only paying for a fancy logo. Honestly if you can find a pair that looks as good starting at the $40 dollar range then you are getting the same quality. Chances are they are made by the same people. Look for polarized lenses also.

its not only about the name, the lenses that companies such as prada use are much better than the cheap glasses. Lenses in a cheap pair of glasses may even damage your eyes in some cases, that is due to the ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun. Of course you are paying extra for the name. In any case its better to have one pair of nice sunglasses rather than ten cheap ones. You might want to look into some other brand such as Ray Ban, which is going to be cheaper than prada.

I used to have a pair of aviator sunglasses because they seem to look so much better on me then any other style. However, because of my prescription, the lens is about 1/2 inch thick which looks retarded from the side. Basically what I was told was that in order for the sunglasses to have a thin lens, they had to be the same style as my regular classes. UGH!!! Also, I hate clip ons!

Yes, wear your shorts! Most men have hairy legs, no need to hide them. If the hair is crazy, you may want to trim with a pair of hair clippers with a 1/2 inch guard on it.

Derick, this is a tough question. I have got to tell you that in most professional environments, earrings are sort of a no no. Unless you are the boss! If you decide to wear them at work, I would go with something simple like a small silver stud or maybe a simple small silver hoop. I'm not a big fan of gauges, but they would definitely let people know that you have an edge. Rock On my friend!!!
