I was trying to point out it's wrong to use the word "religion" or "religious" when you actually mean "Christian". If it were only about reproduction, we would have average copulations of a few seconds like some other primates, and women would only have sexual desire when they were at a fertile point in the month. Most sex acts do not result in pregnancy, and that is how we evolved. Therefore, we can conclude that sex has a largely social function in humans. And homosexual acts, which have always existed, are part of that social programming.

I completely understand the daily grind of being gay. I have been yelled at, and pushed out of a church because I am different and they are afraid of me. What I meant was, if you believe being gay is a sickness and inherently sinful, and yet, you think you may be gay yourself, then you've just built yourself up for a major emotional struggle for years to come. Thus, you need to do some soul-searching (thinking) about what you truly believe.

Just as an example, some branches of Neo-Paganism which despise proselytism and prejudice and support gay rights are growing really rapidly nowadays. Most sex acts do not result in pregnancy, and that is how we evolved. Therefore, we can conclude that sex has a largely social function in humans. And homosexual acts, which have always existed, are part of that social programming.

I completely understand the daily grind of being gay. I have been yelled at, and pushed out of a church because I am different and they are afraid of me. What I meant was, if you believe being gay is a sickness and inherently sinful, and yet, you think you may be gay yourself, then you've just built yourself up for a major emotional struggle for years to come. Thus, you need to do some soul-searching (thinking) about what you truly believe.

As for being gay, it's all genetic. They have found evidence of that. In the animal world same sex behavior happens all the time. People really need to be who they are. If they like girls fine. If they like guys fine. If they like both fine. Why do people worry about it and have a problem with it?

I didn't think you acted like a stereotypical gay person, (and I'm not saying all gays fit a stereotype) but I know personally, I wouldn't think a person gay such as yourself. I can tell you that things are a lot better than they were in the 70's and with young guys like you, it is only bound to get better. CNN had a poll the other day and for the first time "someone being gay makes no difference to me" was ahead of "I am bothered by gays (or words to that effect).

Being gay though I commend you for your view is by all rights a choice of the person wishing to live that way of life...You are from birth hardwired to be with the opposite sex for the logical means of procreation or having a baby...
Do I think gays should be able to have the same rights as a hetero couple? Yes I do, gays are human but lets not get it twisted they are gay by there own choice not by birth, not by some non existent gene it was a personal choice and that should be respected.

For me this totally ties in with my experience with women generally; I've slept with women before, about half a dozen times, and I find some women sexually attractive. But I would definitely call myself gay; a lot of women I know can't stand that, that I've tried both and I like men way better.
They love having a gay "pet", as long as you fit in to their pre-conceived notions about what it is to be gay; lead a cool professional life in the city, be gym buffed etc.

I guess now I'm Gay~ and I'm proud of it. I'm still bisexual, yet I've made the decision to be with men. I still want a family with kids n grandkids. I just think I should let women go and be fair to myself. Men just seem right for me at this point so I'll stick with it. Thanks for the video man. You are beautiful and strong.

interestingly I do get to choose to be gay cuz in reality I'm bisexual. Yet, I think I've recently decided to just be GAY and not confuse the world around me lol...idk...I just feel like, now that I'm 18 and am looking for a stable relationship, I should just pick a single gender and go with it. Men are predictable and stable enough for me to be happy. That isn't to say I don't fancy women anymore. I just think it is fair to myself to not struggle with the choice of men or women. so there.

Oh man. The whole is gay a choice theory. I am gay myself but I don't think people are born gay. I think this is just an argument to get acceptance from straight people. I don't know what your views are but thats my view. I don't put up with bullshit most of the time because I don't let everyone know I am gay. i ve tried to commit suicide once and i left a note saying that i was atracted to guys and that i just couldn´t live with it and when i saw the look on my sister my mother and my father´s face after getting out of the hospital i just couldn´t bear to tell them that that was truth so i made something up and they believed it but the truth is i just can´t live with my self this way

What that woman did must've been simply intimidating. Anyone can be offended, when somebody addresses a topic related to our sexuality. This kind of behavior is usually socially unacceptable. Unfortunately, if you are gay, you are prone to attacks because often you're the only person in the vicinity who is so different, thus an easy target. If you realize this, you can have power over that. She no longer will have the power over you.
