I went with a woman who'd had a foot of her colon collapse because of a food allergy. They opened her up, removed about 14 inches of her lower GI closed her up, packed her full of gauze, and sent her home. MAJOR SURGERY done outpatient because she had no insurance. Without getting too gross at breakfast time, suffice to say there were major complications. That's cruel.

I went with a woman who'd had a foot of her colon collapse because of a food allergy. They opened her up, removed about 14 inches of her lower GI closed her up, packed her full of gauze, and sent her home. MAJOR SURGERY done outpatient because she had no insurance. Without getting too gross at breakfast time, suffice to say there were major complications. That's cruel.

Immigration people ARE doing their jobs. There's been MORE deportation in Obama's administration than during the previous one. The difference is they're deporting real criminals, not just any undocumented immigrant they can get their hands on.
Reforming these laws can make us safer AND our treatment of immigrants more humane.

How about this teacher i know that visited a student's parents who were on the dole, but they had a big screen tv, a new SUV, and other nice things...but getting welfare benefits. You seem to think you have an ability to judge people fairly and accurately that you in fact lack pretty badly. @TreyVon1186 and then a part time job at min. wage. I said there was an adult child in the home with disability. Put rent at 600/month, gave the family two cars worth 1100 and 2000. Gave the disabled adult a SS income of 400 dollars, which is average for a non-working disabled person living with parents. Not eligible.
This idea that people are getting food stamps who don't need them is absurd, and food stamps ain't that much anyway.
