About the lap times, I reckon this thing would keep up with an FXX, although not outlap it obviously.
No chance it could keep up with an FXX... Not a chance in the slightest. The McLaren F1 LM is lighter than FXX by just under 100kg, but it also lacks FXX's extra 170 HP. Lets not forget that the FXX has a 15 year advantage in terms of technological refinements.
youve also got to consider that the Ultima is essentially a street legal race car. its a hell of a lot lighter because it doesnt have all the goodies that other supercars have.

As for an F1 LM vs FXX showdown, that would be sweet. I wouldn't like to call it to be honest. The F1 is faster round a track than an Enzo and the F1 LM and FXX are track versions of both... so it will be very close. Either way the FXX can't be driven on the road and the LM can :P

No doubt this IS a real McLaren F1 Le Mans, chassis number LM2 owned by that Japanese guy who also owns the standard F1 Road Car and repainted F1 GT Longtail at the ZAZ Musuem in Nagoya, Japan. It is the only F1 Le Mans in the world to have those opening slider sections in the windows which make it moe usable, all 5 of the other LMs have fixed non-opening door windows which kind of makes it a pain to pay for toll or parking. LM2's windows fix that, a bit.

The McLaren F1 is the stock version while the McLaren F1 LM is a little faster and only 3 or 5 LMs were made ( i forgot ) . You can judge weather it's an LM or not by it's colour and if it has a rear wing . LMs are in Pumpkin Orange and have a rear wing .

They built a around 150-160 of these. All came int he same color and are basicly race spec. The first on was held by McLaren in the showroom at the factory. About half have been wrecked over the years. McLaren offered their top driver in F1 the last car if he gets both the manufactuars and driver championships in 2009.

Looks like a LM but at 0:05 seconds in the vid you should be able to see the letters "LM" at the end of the side skirt next to the rear wheel.

well alot of people who run in the gumball are really proud of it and won't remove them because that is a major event to be a part of... if anything i woud assume the value would be increased with the stickers due to the nature of the event

The McLaren F1 is the stock version while the McLaren F1 LM is a little faster and only 3 or 5 LMs were made ( i forgot ) . You can judge weather it's an LM or not by it's colour and if it has a rear wing . LMs are in Pumpkin Orange and have a rear wing .

They built a around 150-160 of these. All came int he same color and are basicly race spec. The first on was held by McLaren in the showroom at the factory. About half have been wrecked over the years. McLaren offered their top driver in F1 the last car if he gets both the manufactuars and driver championships in 2009.

They did not build 150-160 of these, not even close. They built 5 including 1 prototype. They are a street legal version of the 1995 McLaren F1 GTR. Not all are the same color, two are special Sultan of Brunei colors. None of them have been wrecked. McLaren only owns the LM prototype, and then promised it to Lewis Hamilton if he won two more world championships. Drivers can't win the manufacturer competition because the drivers don't make the cars. Stop being so damn stupid.

Indeed, the LM is one of the rarest, most powerful, complete driving machines ever made. The design really stands the test of time. Of the 5 that exist, 3 are owned by the Sultan of Brunei. And only one in the world is not painted Papaya Orange.

They actually made 5 F1 LM's I think :).. LM takes 2.7 sec 0-60 mp/h but the F1 like 3. something. So the LM has a faster acceleration and the normal F1 a faster top speed :)

Only 5 were ever made. Very rare.

No. Most of the racing version GTR's converted to road use are still called GTR's. The LM was made to celebrate McLaren's LeMans win in 1995. 5 cars crossed the line in 1'st, 3'rd, 4'th, 5'th and 6'th. Thus 5 McLaren F1 LM's were made...

you are thinking of the yellow one. Which is a gtr converted modified for road use. You have to modify it. the orange one(lm) is built road ready.

This is a true supercar.The mclaren f1 lm nurburgring laptime is 7:11 thts like the fastest production carever.The bugatti veyron done itin 7:40lol veyron whata flop al that power 16cilinders 4turbos etc all a waist.Its a lil faster than the mclaren on the straight but put both on the track the mclaren rips it too bits.. the mclaren is 29 seconds faster than the veyron now thts major difference i cant explain in words! veyron sucks mclaren rules i cant wait till the new mclaren comes out WATCH

only 5 Mclraen F1 LM's were ever made. they were painted in that orange color to celebrate The Mclaren F1's win on the 24 hour of Le Mans...hence the LM. like i said 5 of them were made i know 1 of the 5 sits in the Mclaren Mercedes F1 technology centre in Woking, England. so have fun with your Toyota Surpa and don't be so offensive
