Saw it on SyFy. Considering the channel my expectations were pretty low, but it turned out to be pretty good. Unlike the usual schlock they like to play, the plot doesn't take a backseat to sex and gore, and I actually gave a crap about the characters.

"Infestation" is really great Comedy/Horror movie. OK, the storyline is far from new, it was like mix of Marabunta, Alien, Jurassic Park, 28 Days Later, Spiders etc. Chris Marquette was the leading hero here but he was the most annoying among them all - trashy acting!!! All others were great. It was awesome to see talented Brooke Nevin. She deserves more recognition. E. Quincy Sloan, Linda Park and Ray Wise were special. Very entertaining film

insects were actually as big as that once though. but they cant grow that big again because the 02 levels in the air are to low, they need to be about 40% for them to reach that size... so its a movie for people who never had biology too...

bugs have an amazing speed of reproduction, one bug can lay a thousand eggs in a day, remember that there is a swarm they saw at the beginning of the movie, they only destoryed this one nest, but what about the bug that could be going out to hunt during their process of burning the nest

Well the "Queen" let out that scream which seemed to be a call for help among other things. Most of the 'bugs' nearby probably came to the nest to help and were killed in the explosion.

I was thinking since the nest seemed to have fallen from space(?) that maybe there were several and not just one.

this is not a "real" movie that you see in threaters, it's only a Scifi channel movie, so it's possible for a sequal to came very quickly

i also just realized how much alike between the starcraft race Zerg and this movie's "bugs", maybe the director got his idea from Starcraft?
