I disagree on 1. I think it was his right foot that once he had full control of the ball it rests on top of his left foot and never touched the ground. I've watched the replay countless times. 2 you're right, that was a TD. I don't understand how the refs didn't call the blatant holding and blocks in the back, but it was a TD. For 3 I don't think they paid the refs. Although if you look close enough, the refs all had terrible towels in their pockets instead of the regular flags lol.

Fitzgerald is actually one of the slower of the elite recievers in the league. Don't get me wrong, he's without a doubt the best in the league and I love the guy but he is not fast. However, in this play, Fitzgerald was running on pure adrenalin. He just caught a Super Bowl Pass very late and the game and at the point, there was no catching him. He will never run a faster 40 in his life. Ever. Major props to him for doing what he did but even more props to the perfect pass/catch by Roeth/Holmes.

There is a photo showing Holmes' right toe never touching the ground... there was no DEFINITIVE angle on tv showing that, however, but the call was CONFIRMED bi the ref. There was no way to 'confirm' that catch via replay with NBC's poor angles. Fox, CBS, ABC or even ESPN would have caught that - NBC is the worst of all football coverage even with Madden/Michaels... always has been. If the call had been called no catch, it could not have been overturned as there was no clear angle either way.
