i had flat ironed my hair also..and i had the same thing..damaged ends!

& yes mines was very uneven lol..i was so unhappy with how my hair felt i stuck my hair back under the water lol..

but i think once i have the length im happy with ill go back and flat iron and remove those damaged ends..cause im only able to tell their there when i flat iron,

for just cutting with regular scissors and by yourself, it turned out really well! i would be too scared to do that! your hair looks good!

wow I feel bad for you because guess what i did my big chop with regular scissors and thats what damaged my ends. I hope those scissors were sharp enough.

hmm, I don't think that I did. I just finished making a vid of reverting my hair back to kinks/curls. gonna post it tomorrow. I think my hair will be ok! thanks.

I did a deep conditioner over night, and I made sure that I didn't pass the iron more than three times.

The same thing happened to me when I went to flat iron my hair...I had to cut off like 3 inches of split ends!!! I wonder what is causing that? I have talked to other natural women who say the same thing: that their hair will be fine in the 'fro, but when they go to straighten, its a hot mess!!

yeah, I hated how it looked before I cut those ends off. after I did I loved it!!! I guess u can see what's damaged better when you look at the two textures. the ends shouldn't be that crazy!!! lol. thanks for watching.
