just today a shuttle was launched from there, u could see it clearly from dover, DE

Satellite. Shuttles only launch from Kennedy. The Wallops Island range primarily launches sounding rockets, sub-orbital test payloads, and the occasional satellite. Google "Wallops Island" and go to the NASA page about the place.
