@UnrealLotus I can aswer for you. When you create your character, you will be able to play both offline and online. "With that I mean, "You allways need internet Conection to play." But you can play without friends and other people at anytime. Since Diablo isn't an openworld mutiplayer, you will always be playing by yourself, unless you bring in someone with you.
@IKNOWMYNAMESUX It's as close to a ARPG as anything else out there. Gameplay is nearly identical, the only difference is the level cap is 18 and can be reached within 20~45 minute games, and your character get's "wiped" after the match.
LoL is incredibly dynamic and diverse, and the only reason D3 won't be a real eSport is because the time it would take to balance PvP on a PvE based game is too much for Blizzard to deal with, and I think that's a pretty big shame. Hopefully down the line?
You are wrong in your math, 'cause each hand causes its own damage, you can't just sum the damage from both weapons. With a 2 handed weapon, each punch deals the exact same amount of damage (the weapon dps). With 2 weapons each hand has the dps related to its weapon. Bizzard stated that previously! Cheers!

As a monk said in lore once. 'My body is my weapon, as is my mind' so no. The monk dosnt use weapons apart from the regular attacks i guess. But he does carry them around for weapon damage.
ive been looking forward to monk, looking back at diablo 2 expansion the assassin had a martial arts category but it never shined, people always ran trapsin or ww assassin so there was never any martial art in the game but the monk has really made it shine and then its holy like a pally. imo the monk was a great addition to the diablo series
What is that claw thing beside your ' Break it down ' ability and under your teleport device <--- i forget the names of them, i have the beta and i don't have one, and btw for everyone who is curious i rolled a monk because they are extremely fun to play, that dash ability is wicked u can dash very long distance, you don't have to run to mobs.

Just one thing annoys me: they still even after WoW havent figured to either leave the weapons on the back or include them in the fighting animations. Especially since the weapons is switching on and off between skills and in/out combat.. This middle thing doesn't look good in WoW and it won't look good in D3. I know they have to make big dragons and stuff, but make a hide/show option.
The combat style reminds me of the High Elf Swordmaster, which is no doubt my personal fav.
Blizzard seems to have lost ideas when it comes to the barb. seems like boring gameplay with a hero that cant make up in damage what he suffers from being so slow and non mobile, and was it just me but compairing the speed that the monk moved in is much greater then the barb, and his damage is about equal.
And by the way: You say the lethal decoy makes no sense to you. But i think when the monsters start to actually get challenging, buying yourself and your team a couple of seconds by making the mobs attack it, will be worthwile i think. And how about runes on that skill? I saw one rune-effect on it, that heals you and your friends nearby it! I wouldn´t judge too hastily. :)

@CarlosXDiaz barb doesnt stay alive as well as the monk. the monk has far more defensive skills/passives and CC type spells. blizz commented saying the barb dies the easiest in inferno mode and they might buff him a little. the barb has ALWAYS been the most gear dependent class because his skills arent that great.
@CarlosXDiaz Honestly the way the game is set up you should be able to bounce between them incredibly easily... once you get one character started you share gold across the entire account and items in the stash carry over from character to character which helps you get a good head start. I prefer the Witch Doctor to be honest. He was easier for me to use.
Feels weird to see the character with a spear in each hand, putting them in his back in 0.1 sec, attacking with his fists, having the spears magically back in the hands and so on... I don't like that at all. I guess that's because the monk is supposed to use fist weapons, a bit like the assassin of lord of destruction, but, well...
BTW instead of using that move to pass right through the bosses, you should use it to run away when they attack, then use it again to close the gap to counter attack.
I can't be the only person who just thinks pvp is worthless in diablo. It was bad in diablo 2, and i'm glad they're not having it in this game, (save some crappy arena battles that won't mean anything aswell as give no reward)
u should have put javelin of slaying in main hand since your abilities are based on weapon damage which i would think will be your main hand weapon dmg
Monk is fucking awesome. I'll still probably make Barb first, but my secondary will probably be Monk. I was gonna go for WD secondary, but Monk is straight up beasting.
It seems like all the skills that don't scale with weapon damage are underpowered. Fan of knives, the grenades and other skills Force has shown have the same problem. That decoy is way expensive for what it does. His normal attacks do more damage.
Hey Force I have a question regarding the CROWN of Leoric.
When you get the crown it only ticks off the quest as complete. Do you actually get to see the crown? (I guess not because it doesn´t appear in your inventory)

@glid1 It can't just be those though, because he's using 2 spells when nothing is bound to keys 1-5. So if left click is attack, right click move, what activates the second attack?

Sweet play thorugh, loving the mobility of the monk. Kinda disapointed that you won't be hitting any monsters with your weapons if you want to generate spirit.

You Dash AWAY from mobs then use your Deadly Reach, not through them...

It seems like all the skills that don't scale with weapon damage are underpowered. Fan of knives, the grenades and other skills Force has shown have the same problem. That decoy is way expensive for what it does. His normal attacks do more damage.

Hmm...looks like his fist is more powerful than a hammer or club. I'll use a monk before a barb.

Hey Force I have a question regarding the CROWN of Leoric.
When you get the crown it only ticks off the quest as complete. Do you actually get to see the crown? (I guess not because it doesn´t appear in your inventory)

Noob question, what are the buttons used in this game? Right click move, Left click primary ability? How do you activate the other abilities?

@glid1 It can't just be those though, because he's using 2 spells when nothing is bound to keys 1-5. So if left click is attack, right click move, what activates the second attack?

isn't there a problem with the fact that the monk doesn't even look like he's using his weapon (only fists and kicks), though his skills are based on weapon damage? I don't like that…

Sweet play thorugh, loving the mobility of the monk. Kinda disapointed that you won't be hitting any monsters with your weapons if you want to generate spirit.
