  • All of their stuff is great, but I really love this record.

  • HOW have I not heard of them before tonight? All those years I could have been listening to this fantastic music, wasted.

  • Goed

  • 4 people suck

  • A long box! Whoa!

  • One of my all time favorite bands. Hate that I missed the Maxwell show.

  • true guitar art band chunes

  • wow - the second half of that song really kicks ass

  • Good reference Alessieta. Television obviously influenced the Feelies quite a bit. Television was a good 6 years before The Feelies.

  • It's just you.

  • Is it just me, or they trying to sound like the Who.

  • verysmallfilms: ha ha ha!

  • oh look.....1/2 of the feelies.

  • where's the rest of the band? they brought dave weckerman to play tambourine, couldn't they afford the other 2? strange to hear them without that pounding rhythm section, wonder if they had to tell shaffer's band to simplify things a bit

  • Just saw them play last weekat Maxwell's and they were amazing. I;ve seen them dozens of times and that was probably the best show I have ever seen them play. If you get a chance to see them, by all means go.

  • Amen-these guys are pure rock n roll!

  • Early alternative sound? Why not rocknroll? (Or American Beat) It seems rnr is in the genes of some american musicians. Its clearly the case of these people: one of the greatest bands of the last 25 years.

Crazy Rhythms is amazing, The Good Earth is owesome and Its Only Life is another REAL must-have!

  • they are radiohead?

  • these guys dont sound to bad. these guys' genre is like the early alternative sound, right? they sound pretty good. i read on wikipedia under the article for 'alternative rock' that combine punk influences with like a folk sound

  • yeah, i would say alternative. "First Wave" Alternative (to be exact), like The Minutemen, Husker Du, etc, bands that grew out of the punk scene. Still punk, but with more musicianship

  • sweet, do u know of any other bands like this?

  • Yeah I would probably group Television with them as well. Boy did they have musicianship!

  • Sorry Songlover08,The Pixies were influenced by the Feelies, not the other way around. Now if you said "Velvet Underground anyone?", then you'd have something. Think before you post. That's all.:]

  • They are legend ! ... indie treasure

  • I remember this performance live when I was in college and had just started a band. I just got the same feeling again. You know the one where you go "yea, THAT's rock n roll!"

  • I'll have some of whatever the tamborine player is having.

    NICE.

  • wow it's exactly the sameeeee!!!!!

  • ...they have never performed in Austria, shit!

  • I saw them in Chicago in 1984. I loved it, have all their stuff. I didn't know they were on Letterman. I wonder if they are together at all now, 2008?

  • They're opening for Sonic Youth July 4 in NYC.

  • They've reunited this past year, several reunion shows and are back in the studio. They play on New Years with Yo La Tengo in Montclair NJ. They look older but damn, they sound exactly the same. It's like 17 years has just slipped away. It's incredible.

  • yeah, the FEELIES deserved so much more recognition than they got. their twin guitar attack reminds me of another great band, TELEVISION. in both cases - guitar heaven!!!

  • There is no Warren Zezon comparison....Karin's just not too bright

  • Great band, I saw them at the Bottom line during the Only life tour, and never get tired of their music. I don't see the Zevon comparison!

  • Best American band in the 1980's!!!

  • No. That was the Original Sins

  • Gotta trump you on that one, it was the Feelies!

  • Pixies anyone? Not to bash on the Feelies or anything. :]

  • pixies and feelies! :]

  • I see what your saying, I also hear tom petty

  • I forgot how much influence these guys had on me. Still one of my favorite bands ever!

  • I had this on cassette tape....man, I used to blast this song in my Mazda 323! I agree with the Zevon comparison. I STILL love this song. I searched for it on here a while back and found nothing. Thanks a million! Man, am I old. LOL!

  • This is the music that I'm talking about. Tons of energy, sincerity and yes the tambourine is necessay. You can actually hear it well!

  • Holy shit! Is that David Letterman?! God he looks a whole lot different now.

  • Time For A Witness is one of the greatest albums ever.

  • Good song great band. The voice remind me of Warren Zevon.

  • Great live version of a great song!

  • time for a witness is an excellent album.

  • VERY underrated album. I think Time for A Witness holds up with the rest. RIP Feelies.
