it was love at first sight, I love running my fingers through your extensions. I remembered when i holded you and put my finger on you and popped you. I love you my Springfield XD-40
Strange way of shooting. And I wouldn't be showing off about hitting the center at 6 ft away. I could do the same at 36ft, which is usually the range allowed most indoors around here.
im not gonna judge cuz that was nice shooting, however i did the same thing when i first started shooting and if you squeeze the gun harder it wont feel like it kicks as hard, that will be safer for you if you have to use your weapon, not to mention you will get tighter groups, but all in all, nice shooting!
I agree and it's a proven fact, you revert to your training in the stress of a real life or death armed encounter. Having been in Law Enforcement over 10 plus years i found that in both of my officer involved shootings, they both fell within the statistics of armed encounters. Both happened approx. 7 yards, both had 12 or more shots fired, i had tunnel vision and time distortin that was ubbelievable, and never had to re-grip my weapon(Glock Mod.22 - .40cal) on the contrary i squeezed it hard.
I was going to flame about the re-gripping but someone already handled that. This gun is my carry, and already laid one man (robbing my house, armed) to rest.
Most confrontations take place at 4 feet or less. In concealed carry classes the targets start at about 8 feet, or less. If he's shooting a group like that he's got nothing to worry about at 20 to 30 feet.
Dude, on the REAL -- you have to break that habit of CONSTANTLY READJUSTING YOUR EFFING GRIP AFTER EVERY DAMN SHOT!!! Seriously, after shot 4 or 5, I honestly wanted to punch you in the face. (Nothing personal; I'm sure you're a nice guy -- it's just THAT annoying, bro! TRUST me on this.) Otherwise, you have a great taste in weapons -- I have the XD(M)-40 myself. AMAZING weapon. And nice groups, btw. Just fix that re-grip thing.
Back up another 50 feet dude. I have the xd 40 and I love it. But if you can go with the xdm 40. The xdm has better sites, lighter trigger, slightly longer barrel, and adjustable grip. And yes, Spring field is american but, the xd's are made in Croatia.
ur right, i like XD's grip angle more that Glocks. There is nothing wrong with Croatia and they make quality guns and I like them better that Glocks. It shoots better and it has a metal guide rod, but It's all personal preference. We have different grip sizes, so my favorite gun may or may not be right for another person. I have a HK45 and I love it, but my body cant handle it as I do cause it feels to heavy for him. Grip angle matters. Cheeers
right on. and to prove your point, shoot a .50ae DE. the rounds are so big for a semi auto, to grip it comfortably you'd have to be a giant. or have really big hands. even so their fun to shoot.
Yo I have a GLOCK 23. When I did my Armed Guard course a few months back the instructor's known my mother almost 20 years so he trusts me. He brought the XD 5" tactical w/ V10 port (he has 9, 40 & 357 SIG barrels) he insisted I use it. I fired one fuckin shot & it's on my wish list. Minus the V10 barrel which sucks. Fuckin thing is great.
nice grouping....but if the day comes where you have to use a gun for real...you will not be taking nice SLOW shots like you were...and learn how to keep your handgrip steady instead of opening and closing your palm after each round
well you didn't read it is his first shots out of a brand new gun (in the description) and he might be using that for a ccw ever thought of that?? the target might be even closer than that if thats the case

just made in Croatia?
just?
Its Croatian brain...design....made in Croatia...you name it.....XD is not even true name of that gun...it is HS.....but that is another story....XD and Springfield A. is there just because US market is too closed for something made in Croatia...because...you Americans dont know shit about world around you....educate educate educate...OK?
Listen, you ethnocentric asshole. Without Springfield Armory, the HS2000 would still be considered a piece of garbage being sold in American gunshops by the Saturday-Night-Special importer Intrac.
Springfield completely re-branded the pistol as the XD. It's a great weapon platform, but you can stow that anti-American shit. Without Springfield, the only people using the HS2000 would be the Croatian military.
A simple "thank you for improving our GDP" would be more appropriate.

Trigger on the XD is really bad. Glocks are not very good either unless you get the 3.5 trigger assembly. Which is easy to put in and is not expensive.
I almost bought the xd .40, but the trigger pull was a little hard and the mag release was a little out of reach for my hand, in any case nice video man.
Shot that tonight, really nice gun, held it with one hand, of course when I did I might have hit a corner, but it is a fun gun. Spent 150 rounds in a half hour.
@j080277 At that range? I think speed is more important. If the target was 30 yards down or so, then he's got a decent rate of fire while thinking of accuracy. My two cents. The Springfield XD40 is actually the first firearm I ever shot lol I was scared as hell, but then when I let go of the first shot and realized how light the recoil was in the XD40, I emptied that mag in about 2 seconds lol Good times... :)
@NormanMatchem Bud you only need a round or two on your target at that range, a 40 has plenty of punch to stagger or drop someone. so higher rate of fire is wasteful and useless. granted no one wants someone that close but in a real-life senario you only need a couple down range.
@vkelsov In a real life scenario, at that range, when someone has a loaded weapon aimed at me, I'll put as many rounds as I want in him until he stops moving. But yeah, if you hear a bump in the night, and get your trusty 1911, glock, sig, or what have you to see who is paying you a visit, and see it's some two bit punk with a knife lookin for something to jack, take that second or two to place a shot in the shoulder, and/or leg. But like I said if there's guns pointed both ways, I want him down
vivalabullet - There is exactly nothing wrong with slow shooting. That's how everyone has to start if they have any hope of being good, and work up speed with practice. You may enjoy unloading your gun rapid-fire and hitting nothing that isn't a foot in front of you and not learning how to shoot properly, but the rest of us will do things right.
This by far is the favorite of my collection..I own a few other sidearms and this one has the be most reliable and for the price its just no comparison with sig and glock
well said. i own an xd .40 and it is by far the best firearm i have ever owned. it's a sub compact and is still very accurate. i feel so confident when firing it that i made a vid of me one handing it and still keeping tight groups. check my channel if you care to see.
