I grew up in the 70's watching the tour every Saturday on ABC. It seemed like either Earl Anthony or Mark Roth won every tournament. Bought me a Magnum 6 to bowl with after seeing Earl win all the time.
i think it as carmen salvino said that he had never seen dick turn down an autograph, im not sure it may have been someone else. Dick and Earl respected their fans because not every one has such great fans im a fan of both they are brilliant
I am a freelance sports writer and rap song writer / performer, and am rarely at a loss for words, but your tribute has left me speechless, with tears in my eyes. Both Earl and Dick transcended the great sport of bowling. I will always treasure having met them, and will treasure the autographs they signed for me and the personal handwritten notes I have from them. The World is an emptier place without them. May their memories live on forever.
Thank you, i have never had the pleasure of meeting them. something i wish i could have done. they were both great people. my coach used to bowl the pedersen with dick, dick went out of his way to send her mother a signed picture. even when he lost her address dick called my coaches work to get the address. nobody couold believe that dick weber was on the phone. both very great people.
That's why I said they transcended our sport, and all sports in general. There never will be another person like them. So let's try to follow their example--both on and off the lanes.
Lots of great clips on that video! Song choice is a little interesting though. I wouldn't call "Bad Day" a flattering song for a tribute video. I like the Phil Collins song use you used.....maybe that might have been better for the whole video. Just an opinion. Very nice job overall putting all this video pieces together. :-D

Great walk down memory lane. Earl & Dick were great bowlers and human beings.
