This is ridiculous. O boy, these glasses can take a bkastfrom a shotgun, while oakleys cannot..... if you get shot in the face with a shotgun, im going to take a guess that the condition of your glasses might me the last thing on your mind, if there is any mind left to think with.

The idea is not to say that you will be ok when shot in the face with a shotgun. The shotgun is simply used to launch a projectile at the glasses to test them. I thought that was obvious to most people... at least those with a mind like you are speaking of.

This is ridiculous! Yes these new "revisions" lenses can stand up to a shotgun blast, but if you get shot in the face with a shot gun from 15 feet away, your dead! But dont worry, your glasses will be ok.

If a small projectile from a blast does fly towards your eyes while wearing these, your eyes will be better protected that when wearing oakleys or wiley x's.

What if a special scientific lab launcher was used to send the projectiles towards the glasses? Would you claim that it was unrealistic since nobody is going to be walking around the streets of Iraq and be shot with said scientific launcher?

It is a comparison test.. that is it.

When companies drive over their product to show you its durability, they are not saying that it is likely for their product to be run over, they are merely showing a strength test.

im not in the military so dont quite understand the need for optics surviving a shotgun blast, sure your eyes would be fine but the rest of your face would be a bit f#*ked.

This was just a way to show that high speed projectiles will not penetrate. We could have used a BB gun, but then I would have morons on here talking about BB guns not being in the hands of our enemy.

The wiley glasses can withstand a shot gun blast to they have a video of it. Just in case you were wondering.

its because there materials are concentrated only on shotguns hahaha what about uv protected and comfort? nothing beats oakley!

Comfort on blind eyes after a projectile comes flying at them. You can wear a sport coat for comfort and to look cool if that is all you want... but when you want protection, you wear a bullet proof vest. That is what these are, bullet proof vests for your eyes.

I didn't realise Oakley's sucked so badly, anyway they are still the best when it comes to normal sunglasses. I'm surprised the frame is so small on the Revisions. It would be interesting to this same test but with Goggles

Oakley claims to stop only 250fps(170mph)and 350fps (238mph) for thier "mil-spec" lenses. As you can see, they shatter when hit by a shotgun! These revisions stop well above 1000fps (681mph)...big difference! When you want to look cool, wear your oakleys, but when you want to protection, wear these! It would look dorky to wear body armor instead of a nice jacket out to dinner, but when you want protection, you wear what protects, not what looks nice.

Oakley m frames should be able to withstand a shotgun blast from 15 yards away from what I've been told. Looks like Oakley's got some competition. If revisision could get their lens shape exactly like the m frame hybrid s, I'd buy em ... pending u could slap em on the m frame.
