sikhism and hinduism are not the same religion at all. They are completely different with different histories and different beliefs etc. For example, sikhism is a monotheist religion meaning we believe in one God whereas hinduism is a polytheist religion meaning they believe in multiple Gods. In sikhism we do not worship idols, fast or other rituals. In hinduism they do worship idols. Those are just a couple examples but there are many more differences because they are completely different
