I think time ran out for such a continuation. You can't have a Labyrinth movie without David and Jennifer and they are getting up there. If memory serves David is somewhere in his 60's and Jennifer is I think 40 ish. Both have probably moved on. T.T

The funny thing about this is the title..because Jake Forbes made a manga called Return to Labyrinth that focuses more on Toby, 15 years later. I haven't read it yet myself, but there's a lot about it on the Muppet Wiki...for anyone who says there should be a sequel ;)
@spaceyfireneko I bought the first volume and it was sooooooo stupid. Fantastic artwork on the front really bad artwork in the actual manga and it is aaaaaall about toby being his successor. Sarah randomly pops up occasionally but Jareth and her have no interaction from what I read.

There's actually supposed to be a bit of focus on Jareth's love for Sarah, and some neighboring queen's love for Jareth though. And seriously, the artwork is bad? That's upsetting because the covers looked sooo amazing >.< Thanks for the heads up though, I'll probably just look for it online then.
@spaceyfireneko if you give me your email I can scan you some of the pages so you know what you're getting into. Its okay art in it but sometimes it seems like they start cutting corners. The front art work is done by someone different which is why the front looks sooo much more elaborate and detailed. I ordered the other volumes since they only have 4 and I already had one so I'll let you know how it goes lol.
Since I was little, I'd watch it over and over again. I could probably quote the entire movie right here, right now. Some of my earliest memories are of Mom cooking in the kitchen with the soundtrack going on from the CD player ontop of the fridge.
But I am seriously against a sequel. Labyrinth was amazing and inspirational on so many levels. There's no way that a sequel could possibly hold a candle to the original.

im pretty sure theres actually a return to the labrinth movie. my moms a librarian and looked for it in the catalogue and none of the libraries near us have that copy anymore. but im not sure if one was made or if she was just pulling my leg.

although i LOVE the labyrinth it really wouldn't make sense to make a sequel. the film was all about moving away from the fantasies of childhood. if they made a sequel when she was older it wouldn't really mean so much..

They already made a sequel to Labyrinth though...In manga form. It actually IS titled "Return to Labyrinth.
