It is about folklore(fiction). In 16-17th century, christianity was imported to japan. Because Shogun(general) prohibited and genosided the christians, they hide their belief. In 19th century, hidden villages where such christians descendants live were found in many area (especially in south and north-east) in Japan. This is a story inspired by such historical event.
