People who don't know what a bedbug looks like (like I did 3 years ago) would probably mistake them for some kind of other bug, not thinking they were blood sucking critters living 6 inches from your head at night. Some people live in cockroach/mice infested homes, so a bedbug to them is just some minor thing.

That is nasty people who doesn't know anything about HYGIENE. I dust, vaccuum, clean the bathroom, kitchen, etc. regularly. If ever find out just the first single bed bug ever in my home, I would clean even twice as much. Have you seen those TV shows about the hoarding people? Greasy pizza delivery cartons in the floor, piles of cans and used food containers, and then they wonder why they have rats and mice. I bet bedbug infested people haven't ever washed their stinky bed covers, like in eons.

We had moved into a new apartment and then began to get bites on us when we woke up in the morning and then we had the pest control come out and they found a small amount of bedbugs and then went next door and said that they had them too but it was the worse case he had ever seen. Apparently they had them and didn't care. Thank GOD our case wasn't this bad. This is so GROSS.

Their floor was rotted out, and their basement had a dirt floor, covered with shit from their dogs they never let out. Roaches came out of every crack.

So for one year we kept killing them and using natural sprays to try and end it, but they kept coming back. We had to move at the end of the first year, so we threw out the bed to avoid bringing them with us. We also had to throw away most of our things as they too were infested beyond saving.
