I enjoyed your video! It was very helpful! I just recently started experiencing sleep paralysis about 4 months ago, I have had about 7 or 8 "episodes" and only recently found out there is a name for it because of people like you on youtube. Before I found out it's an actual condition I just thought I was having a bad dream inside of a bad dream if that makes sense?? But the more it happened I"m like this is real I'm very aware of my surroundings ya know? Thank you!!! & your not alone : )
@Drmofothegreat What? Are you actually taking offense to this? I told you what was bad about taking a nap after 6. It's awkward. That's my opinion. I don't stay up very late. So taking a nap from 6 to 8:30 is awkward for me. This video wasn't even about sleep schedules. It's about sleep paralysis.
I'm HOPING, however, that you were joking. Really, really hoping.
i did have a hilarious scare once after over 48hrs awake i was trying to sleep then i opened my eyes answer saw two glowing eyes looking at me through the dark and felt three impossibly long fingers grasp my ankle, i freaked the hell out and attacked this hand upon becoming reaqainted with reality i found those to be wires that fell on my leg, the eyes were my cats. don't deprive yourself of sleep while watching alien abduction shows lol
@Drmofothegreat Oh, thank GOD. I was genuinely concerned that someone was offended that I called their sleep schedule awkward. Hahahah. Yeah, alien abductions or ghost stories are never good pre-sleep reading material.
cannabis cures it for me, nearly killed me three times sleep paralysis related breathing difficulties and health authority offered no cure so i have to cure myself
Lawl I love you so much xD!!!! Its funny, u 1st timer:]
Although it wasn't my first time having SP but last night but I had it last night!
I was in the same situation as you. I slept at 7 till 9. Woke up, watched some TV, helped my mom pack her hiking stuff till 2-3 and slept at 3:30 and bam! There comes the sleeping paralysis.
n also I am in stressed--so:] It's ok next time..try to relax.
This has happened to me twice. #1 some point last year..
#2 a few nights ago, I was terrified. I know it was in my head, but as far as I was concerned, I was paralysed for a few mins and I saw someone in the house. (Not a ghost or anything like that, I thought it was a burgler or a general intruder).
I woke up my bf afterwards and made him close all the doors and windows in the house. No one was there. But it doesn't stop you getting scared!
I used to get sleep paralysis all the time when I was your age, and it was fricking terrifying! I used to hate it. It always seemed like there was something evil there holding me down too. I'm so glad I dont have it very much anymore...I also had surgery once and was awake and couldnt tell them..it was awful! Back surgery nonetheless!
This happens to me sometimes too...it's nothing to worry about. It usually happens when I am sleep deprived and finally getting to bed, or, if I am taking a nap in the middle of the day. It's not pleasant.
No not alot it hasn't happened in a long time. When it did happen it was usually when I took a nap between classes so it was light out. And sometimes I thought maybe I was dreaming or and this is silly but I thought a ghost was there. It's so scary.
What a homo.

Usually it happends because of sleep insufficiency. Fix your sleep schedule and dont do drugs at morning - problem solved!
