There's more ways to win than just doing damage. Airplane spin causes dizziness and disorientation. By the time the opponent knows up from down the ref has counted 1 - 2 - 3 and the has rung. It ain't flashy, but it works.

This must have been late in George's career, because at the height of his popularity in the late 40s-50s, he got half of the gate and he rarely lost, certainly not this quickly. He does look a little fat, slow and tired.
