Mad cow disease, chronic wasting disease and similar ailments are all thought to be caused by misshapen forms of special proteins known as prions. In the case of chronic wasting, research shows infection can occur even by proximity to sick deer.
In areas infected with CWD, up to 10 percent or more of deer are found to carry the disease.
Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York (only from CWD containment area), Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia (only from Hampshire County), Wisconsin and Wyoming; as well as the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
@bradleymicahnelson - I didn't stop him because he had been shot at from that stand less than two weeks before...I was worried that if I stopped him he would just blow out of there. As for the Pink Arrow...I'll carry one of those in my quiver all day long if Victory is going to be giving me free arrows.
He had already been shot at from that same tree just 2 weeks earlier. Wes was just worried that if he tried stoping him he might bolt. If you watch close, he didn't shoot high...the deer just really dropped out. Thanks for the post.
I posted a video response. I used the rage two blade last year and was not too impressed. Entry holes are great but if they bleed into the body cavity it is tough to track them if you dont see them go down. In my humble opinion, its all about the exit wound. Slick trix do the job. Thunderheads also.
You should try out Rage with me they make some Huge entrance holesin all the videos i have seen. I havent found really any bad stuff about them either.
P.S. I can not wait another second until opening day for bow season!
@SharpCarsMan haha yeah i know man, i said id try em out and last season i seen the reality. i stuck a big one and it looked like somebody poored a bucket of red paint all over, he ran no more than 45-50 yrds.
Yeah, We are down in the southern part of the state. Hope you have a great first season...Jimmy make sure that you don't let the media tell you what is a trophy for you. Everyone want guys to believe that it's the amount of horn on the head that determines the size of the trophy...when it's the time and memories that surround your hunt that make each harvest great. Hunt hard and God Bless
I wont ever let anyone tell me whats ok and whats not. Thanks bro, I am looking forward to hunting 100 acres on my brothers father in laws never hunted land a few miles from a state park. I am not too worried about filling tags (trying to be optimistic). I wont ahve a video this year but will hopefulyl have pics.
Nice Deer! Haha, you get excited as i do when a nice buck is taken! Keep up the great hunting! I enjoy the vids as IL bow season is only 2 days away :)
