I remember, when the final episode had ended, feeling almost as if something was missing and yet I was satisfied with how things went. What other show in the history of television made you feel like one of the group with the characters on screen, none I've seen. Since then television shows have come and gone, but none have come close to Cheers.
I just thought of this: They should've had Ted Danson do a voice-over for when "Thanks for having us over on all those Thursday nights. Cheers" appears on screen saying "From all of us at Cheers, thanks for having us over on all those Thursday nights."
I felt the same way. I was born in 1980 and was also in 6th grade. It was definitely the end of an era. The last remaining Thursday night NBC hit of the 80's.
@jed6271 Agreed. Thanks for uploading that version of the song. I'm getting the same goose bumps I got when I first heard it during the originally airing.
@mitube4u I just watched the clip of the final scene, and listening this, I'm just getting goosebumps and remember the great times of those days and moments.
We all know what happened to Frasier after this.

Why was Mike Ditka on the last Cheers episode?

Wish Cheers was still open. Thumbs up if you agree with me.

@steelersfan7238 If you go to Faneuil Hall in Boston, there is a bar called Cheers, full of memorabilia from the show.

For me sitcoms weren't the same after Cheers ended. It was like an extended family over every thursday night.

I cant believe its been almost 20 years since Last Call. Time does fly ;-(

Obviously this classic show overlapped into the 90s, but I feel like it kept that vintage 80s mystique to the very end..

Such a travesty that this episode is hacked to bits on the season 11 DVD.
